Well, it was pointed out by 1Up.com ( http://www.1up.com/d...ory?cId=3153278 ), and confirmed by IGN ( http://wii.ign.com/a...9/729208p1.html ). What's going on is, Nintendo is hand picking people across North Amercia to have "Wii parties." I'm not quite sure if they're only recruting employees in North America or if anyone has the chance to become a "host", but regardless, there will be parties, and if there's one in your area and your interested, you're invited. Oh, and the hosts also get a Black DS Lite which hasb't come out yet in North America.

He said. They're "WII PARTIES"! Nothing more than that is actually known about it. There will be a European Wii Party in London the day after the American party. They will probably announce same big news about the Wii, the release date and price and hopefuly some new Brawl footage and a few new games.
I thought only selected members of the media are invited? If not, than GL's going to go there for sure since he lives near the World Store. I wanna go too! *mumble grumble*

Well, the guy on 1up.com named "ant" doesn't seem to be working for Ninty, and it didn't sound like there was anyone specific to be invited. But I'm pretty sure the press would be there.

Yeah, that's what I meant, I heard they'll only be calling people that work for famous and well-known magazines/websites. Sorry if I was unclear.

They sound cool. But Australia won't get any, which sucks very.

Nintendo definitly get a 10/10 for effort. With this and their 'Wii day' they'll get a lot of publicity for the new system. I guess this is their way of mounting a serious challenege against Messers Sony and Microsoft. We'll see if it pays off.

Hopefuly it will. But once the Wii is out they have to start doing something they usually don't do: advertise. They should take a leaf out of Sony's and Microsoft's books and actually make the world know that Wii exists.

Depending on the Wii release date here in Aus, I'll get a black DS lite for my birthday.
