In my opinion, I prefer Warcraft. The campaign is so much better than AoE or AoM put together. The cinematics are frikkin amazing- see end of frozen throne. Warcraft has a darker feel to it, which is my kinda thing, and I prefer the game engine. The only flaw with warcraft is that you can only have 14 units in an army, and it's hard to control more than 1.

Age of... games aren't bad. Far from it. They're great. The system is good, the civilisations are good, its a good game. The population on Ao games is way better than warcraft's system. A flaw is the units in AoE are the same for each civilisation, apart from the unique units, which is made better in AoM, but there are too few civilisations in AoM.

I prefer to play the campaign on Warcraft over AoE/AoM (actually I think the AoE/M campaigns suck) but I prefer to multiplay with AoE/AoM.

I cant multiplay on them anyway. I only campaign on warcraft, as normal games get boring, or to hellish.

          Starcraft > Everything else.

Warcraft is like any other over-done fantasy game...

            * shoots WD* This isnt about starcraft, you fool! * slaps*

I think everybody would agree- having the population limit of AoE with the warcraft battle engine would pwn.

I like AoE and AoM better then most games. The original AoM is not bad, but when oyu play the titans its pretty cool even if you still only get 5 civilizations you get more units and titan units

                  Warcraft slaughters AoM hands down.

Im into fantasy more than reality. Even though AoM isn't exactly real, per se.

Though, the 1st AoE was my favourite game when I was alot younger. I had an entire custom campiagn going. That hero "Perseus" was awesome.

Agreed. Starcraft 2 would be the ultimate RTS. Although Medieval 2: Total War looks cool to me, but it's a bit different than any other RTS I've seen so it's not for comparison.

Warcraft definately. Warcraft 2 was the first strategy game i played, and war3 has always been a huge fav of mine. I also prefer the multiplayer of warcraft 3, it's more fast paced and dependant on how you play during the fights rather than how you manage resources and what units you make.

I just feel that there are more strategic options in warcraft, with your choice of hero and unique spells and unit combinations. AoE has always been rock paper scissors.

Medieval 2: Total War = BEST RTS EVER MADE

Like WD said though, it can't really compare to these....so i'd have to say that in my opinion AoE
