This was a photo I took somewhere in Golden Gate park in San Francisco for my Photo 2 clsss. Can't remember where exactly.
Ya, I know it's blurry. It was supposed to be that way, so no comments on that please. Anyway, critique, praise, comment, whatever. I like this photo a lot! -_-
Ohh shiznut it's huge. Oh well, I'll fix it later?

It will haunt my nightmares.
It's up to you to decide wether that's good or bad.
Hey wait, you're not wearing your search bot costume!

It's a good thing for me. Emotions or rememberance, even in the form of nightmares, is a good thing for my art!

A photograph is not art. Especially not a photograph of somebody else's art. Art is a visualization of your perception and imagination. A photograph is a perfect image recorded by a machine. Appreciate the camera, people!

If I have to explain this to you then you don't really understand what art IS. Art is more than just your perception and imagination, that's only part of it. Saying a photograph is just a perfect recorded image is like saying a drawing is just a bunch of lines on paper, like saying a painting is just blobs of... paint. Art is more than just drawings and paint, you know. For example, Karate is considered art, and so is Archery, Swordplay, Woodcrafting, I could go on for much longer. I could write an organised, more than two page essay on this if I wanted. Just thank your lucky stars that Andross isn't here to rant on you, he's a photographer himself, too. I'm not sure if you'll be safe from Sheba, though.
Look in the Index of any professional photography book and I think you'll understand why photo is an art. And don't ever think that art is limited to only what you can do with a pencil or a paintbrush.
Oh and my topic title is misleading cause that statue wasn't my work of course, but it's still as valid as if I had taken a picture of like some building's roof.

LOLZ DERK ITZ BLURRRRRY!!!
It's a nice shot of a nice statue.
I think the blur/chalk+charcoal is a nice touch to such an abstract statue.
Splint, to say a photograph is not art is to say a song is not music.

I'm becoming increasingly interested in photography after seeing some good stuff at school and now here.
It's alright, it's not inspiring and the lack of colour takes away the 'drama', but it's good.

Great picture, yet the topic was ruined by Splits ignorance.
Photography is art, and a damn good form of it, the greatest you can do.
And nobody should think otheriwse O_O

Dude... That thing is ugly. I wish I had never even seen it. I did not need to know of it's existance. So why do you bring this curse upon us?
