On behalf of all the staff here at GSS, I'd like to wish you all a happy new years. Many things happened in 2006 in the gaming world, from the launch of the two new consoles, to Camelot's departure from Nintendo. While the chances are slim, I'm still looking forward to this year's formerly-E3 event, which may finally reveal what exactly Camelot has been working on.

I know I promised the new site and forums in a post several months ago, life has been busy and my initial free time prediction was too hopeful. However, as PDM and some of the moderators can attest, the site is very much underway, and I'm hoping it'll be ready to go live sometime in the next 6-8 weeks. We are still looking for anyone who owns a non-English version of the GS games, as we'd like to expand the new site into as many languages as possible.

So have a happy, successful new year, and look forward to future improvements here at GSS.

Woot, Happy New Year to everyone at GSSF! I was at a crazy party drinking and dancing my head off with my friends when the clock struck midnight.

I was sat in a chair, watching all the fireworks go off in London (wild huh? :D ). I would love to go there on New Year's Eve because it looks pretty amazing. It's just unfortuneate that I live so far away.
EDIT: I also remember one year when I was in the bathroom whilst Big Ben chimed. What a way to ring in the new year!

Kinda the same as Agatio here. After a few bottles vodka and then litres of beer made my... night. I do remember leaving the club at 6 A.M, and also remember waking up somewhere in the bushes a few hours later.

                      Happy new year everybody!!

Haha, gotta love waking up somewhere and having no idea how you got there. I love a good mystery, like the time I slept outside a football stadium on hard concrete and was woken up by people who worked there telling me to leave the premises. Anyway...

It hasn't exploded yet, Split. The Site is still underway, and I'm working on it with any little computer time I can grab. Now that I have a friend with a laptop which has WiFi, and a new flashdrive (8 times bigger than before), I'll have more time to work on it until I can be back on my own PC. I'm still looking for people to do content as well, so feel free to PM me about it. Just don't expect a response within the next day.

Oh, and happy new year! :D

Becuase it has all of my files on it. The bigger it is, the more files I can store in it. This way I can work on it on any computer, not just my home PC.

There's not much to update on. Unfortunately, it is still in the same shape as it was before I left, seing as I've had extremely limited computer access. D; I hope to get more completed soon though, but I'm not exactly back on my computer yet.

Eugine, there's really no need to change the game this forum covers. Just don't go to the GS forums. Also, changing to a game like AW really won't get that many people to join. It might even alienate members we have already.

I still don't see why we shouldn't become a general games site, perhaps even reporting on the Wii, PS3, 360, etc.

Why don't we just make a totally new forum separate from this one, rather than changing this one completely. If GSS dies, so be it, but we should at least have a general gaming forum to migrate to. Arguing with you guys about games is fun.

Discovery]<br /><br />'...Behind my beloved waterfall, in the little room that was hidden beneath the cave, I <br />found it. I brushed away the dust of the years, and picked it up, holding it reverently in <br />my hands. I had no idea what it might be, but it was beautiful...'<br /><br />'...I learned to lay my fingers across the wires, and to turn the keys to make them sound <br />differently. As I struck the wires with my other hand, I produced my first harmonious sounds <br />and soon my own music! How different it could be from the music of the Temples! Father Brown rose to his feet, and his somnolent voice echoed <br />throughout the silent Temple Hall...'<br /><br />'...Instead of the grateful joy that I expected, they were words of quiet rejection! <br />Instead of praise, sullen dismissal. Oracle: The Dream]<br /><br />'...I guess it was a dream, but even now it all seems so vivid to me. Clearly yet I see <br />the beckoning hand of the oracle as he stood at the summit of the staircase...'<br /><br />'...I see still the incredible beauty of the sculptured cities and the pure spirit of man <br />revealed in the lives and works of this world. I was overwhelmed by both wonder and <br />understanding as I saw a completely different way to life, a way that had been crushed <br />by the Federation long ago. I saw now how meaningless life had become with the loss of <br />all these things...'<br /><br />I wandered home though the silent streets<br />And fell into a fitful sleep<br />Escape to realms beyond the night<br />Dream can't you show me the light?<br /><br />I stand atop a spiral stair<br />An oracle confronts me there<br />He leads me on light years away<br />Through astral nights, galactic days<br />I see the works of gifted hands<br />That grace this strange and wondrous land<br />I see the hand of man arise<br />With hungry mind and open eyes<br /><br />They left the planet long ago<br />The elder race still learn and grow<br />Their power grows with purpose strong<br />To claim the home where they belong<br />Home to tear the Temples down...<br />Home to change!<br /><br />[VI. Soliloquy]<br /><br />'...I have not left this cave for days now, it has become my last refuge in my total <br />despair. I have only the music of the waterfall to comfort me now.
