I don't see it being part of the forum itself though.

OK. It can be allowed in this topic, just to show your suggestion in work.

WTF?
I know what you're saying. The RP Forum, should it be implemented in the overhaul, can work alongside this. I've seen this before and it would best fit this forum under the RP category. Remember, this ain't "another GS site", this is GSSF. Things are different.
And if you want to have anything done whatsoever on your suggestions, don't "explain later", but stand by it and explain it at once or don't say nothing at all.

Sun Saber, Eugine was elected as a Moderator for a reason. You can trust him.
Myself, hey! We're getting an RP forum? How's that going to work?

Sun Saber, notice that all the "other sites," that have clans suck ass?
Maybe there's some sort of link.

If done well, I think this clan thing could be pretty good. I like this kinda stuff, so I'm for it.

Actually, Arcuris had a pretty good clan system (although not GS clans obviously), where each clan (guild actually) had its own forum that only members of the clan could access. There was also a 'leaders' forum where the leaders of the guilds (who were elected by the members) could discuss running the guild.
Another idea for the clans (should they be implemented) is a kind of award system, with a chart of the clans and what rank they are. The Arcurian system rewarded the guild for the quality of the RP posts. A GSSF rewards system could be based on maturity, quality of posts in general, good behaviour, or RP posts (if an RP system is implemented)

When you join the RP, you join a clan at the sametime, and each has its own topic (I don't know if there's a mod in which topics can be password protected so that only clan members can read it... but I know it isn't available by default).
Plus, Max definetly wouldn't have the time to assign everyone to their own clan group. So basically, I'm saying having clans in the forum would be a stretch, but it can be implimented in the RP forum.
...and PDM, WTF are you talking about?

What if the Password was told to someone outside of the clan?
P.S.
Anyways my suggestions:
The Password should be changed everyone 4 days.
Members can only change clans in 3 months after they join one clan...

Whatever happened to the veterans forum? Did it die? It only just occurred to me that it's not there anymore..or is it? did I get kicked out XD?
I dunno about this clan idea though..I mean, its always been there as nice in theory but its genuinely very hard to implement on a forum where a) not everyone will want to be part of it and b ) the admins have very little presence.
And can someone explain to me how the battles would work..? race to get the most posts...?

I have to admit, Arcuris is an exception to the whole "websites with clans suck."

And on a side note, every GS forum I have been on that isn't here has had clans in some form or another. It's a bit restrictive, in my opinion--what if, just for a change of pace, you want to play as an Adept of another element? Normally, with clans, you're just consigned to said element, period, full stop, end of story.

BTW, personally I'm against it ^^ (unless somehow integrated into the suggested RP forum)
