PNG for me. Although they take up quite a bit of space, I do frequent back-up's onto CD's to clear off my hard drive for more artwork. Speaking of which...my goatdarned tablet ain't workin right!! >.> Every time I use it it's something else! *keels tablet*

They'd have to keep them on a supercomputer though, you'd probably need a good couple of zetabytes to store them all. :P

That''s exactly why your idea wouldn't work. It takes up more space, not less. That, and not every picture is going to be 1024X720. As for the idea I had, I did a little math when I origionally thought it up, and the compression range is anything from none at all, to shrinking the file down to one byte. It really doesn't matter how big or small the file is, but rather on what the sequence of 1's and 0's is.

What image filetype do you prefer to use most?
BMP (basic filetype, with large filesizes) - 6.25%
GIF (most suitable for simple images and solid colours) - 6.25%
JPEG (comparitively low quality, but brilliant compression) - 18.75%
PNG (great quality images, with about a tenth the compression of a JPEG) - 68.75%
TIFF (well-suited for photographs or scanned images) - 0.00%
Program Specific (contains additional information such as layers, image history, etc) - 0.00%
Other - 0.00%
