    Didn't know where else this topic should go. Possibly the Common Room?

    Anyhow, I'm sure most of us Europeans were watching this last night. Here you can all discuss what your favorite song was and other stuff..

    I think Serbia didn't deserve to win. Our song was quite crappy really.

    I would also like to take this chance to laugh in the other European GSSF member's faces. Especially the Brits, who got points only from Ireland and Malta. :P

      Hehehe the Netherlands didn't even made it to the EuroVision... :P I didn't watched anything of it except when they gave the points. I was at work till 11.30pm so I missed quite a lot.

      Paul de Leeuw represented Holland this year to with the voting. He was awesome just as ever, he really doesn't care that whole Europe is watching him. XD

      Serbia's song was good I think (it was the only song I've heard btw :D ). Nothing too special, but I think we rarely see REALLY good artists in the EuroVision. All the real stars are affraid to lose their faces... It's a shame really.

        Not that I'm European, but hey, I watched it too.

        Personally, my favorite (or favourite for you Euros :P) song in the whole competition was Marija Sestic's Rijeka Bez Imena ("River Without A Name"), the entry from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Such a sweet song, similar to last year's Lejla by Hari Mata Hari (3rd place) and Lane Moje by Zeljko Joksimovic (2004, 2nd place).

        Unfortunately, this year, it only placed 11th... I was very shocked indeed.

            One of the best episodes of anything I've ever seen, ever. :P
            Doesn't bother me too much. I only caught the end as it took ages to get home from Wembley. Pretty much everyone knew that the British song was terrible, apart from the morons who 'sang' it. I just enjoyed Terry Wogan pointing out the ever so slightly unfair voting.

              Marija Serivovic, this year's winner, is a freak of nature. Did you see what she looks like!?

                    Yeah, first I thought she was a guy. o.o; Last year's winners where Lordi, that Nordish (??) hard rock band with those monster faces. I don't like their gerne of music, but I really enjoyed that they won! The song festival was in for a change anyway... >_>;

                    Btw, most of us Western Europeans don't like the EuroVision anymore since we barely see well known countries anymore. I think more than 75% of this year's contenders where all East Europeans... Ohh and Turkey... >_< I don't think the Netherland's song deserved it, since it sucks but I'd be nice to see atleast some more Western European countries for a change.

                      Oh yeah, the Lordi! I remember those freaks. But Marija is a freak naturally.

                            Well, it's just a singing contest, not a beauty contest.

                            I think her voice is fantastic, and deserved first place really. This year's competition wasn't that great (10th place and up from last yeareasily outshined anyone from this year imo), but I think she standed out. Before the competition I was hoping Bosnia and Herzegovina will win. But after watching their performance, it wasn't first place quality.

                            For some reason I loved the Ukranian performance also. Yea I know, weird ^^
                            Just as a note, this year seemed a bit weird for some reason x.x (Ukraine, Ireland, England and Greece comes to mind).
