Help Meh

I have 2 options, both of which are awesome, but none of which I can decide on
Option one is buying a DS lite, and all of the awesome games that i've wanted for so long. Games like Castlevania portrait of Ruin, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Lunar Knights; awesome games. And I would be able to play online and such.
Option two is saving my money for all the awesome Wii games coming out this year; Strikers Charged, Galaxies, Corruption and Brawl- games that look so awesome from what i've seen and I must have.
But I dont know which, and if I choose one, I wont have enough money for the other one.
Help. Please. Thanks.
Oh, and at the mods, I put it in other games, because it's kinda a cross between handheld and console

The Wii imo is just so much more fun and the good games on the Wii are worth your money more than the good ones on the ds. I cant wait for SSBB, personally.
Mario Galaxy and MP3 also look great. My hopes for MP3 aren't that high though, especially since it fell of the radar late last year with no word from Nintendo. I remember it was listed as a launch title lol. Hopefully that means they're fine tuning and polishing it all up to be perfect, but my bet is on an online multiplayer =\.
But I digress. Wii > DS.

Plus, my brother wants Strikers Charged for his Birthday this month. So hopefully this option will work best.
Feel free to keep suggesting things though.

Well, since you still have old games, you might as well buy your new ds.
Actually, wait until after e3. Knowning Nintendo there's a new, ultra slim and sexy model coming in November xP
or at least a price drop.

If I was going to get a Wii, I'd wait until there are a few more good titles on there. There's only about 4 I'd really like.

Yes, but at least I now have a Wii and dont have to struggle like hell to get one when all the awesome games come out.
Tbh, I might suffice with Brawl and Strikers. I've pre-ordered Brawl, and I doubt it will be out until november december, and my brother is probably getting strikers.
Besides, if I want a game, I just show my bro the trailer and he'll go bed my mum for it. I let him call it his game, but I still play it more than him :D
So DS it is, as there at least 4 awesome games out or coming out ( Portrait Of Ruin, Pokemon D/P, Phantom Hourglass, Lunar Knights ect)
I'll go price hunting now..

Also, yeah, I actually only own 1 game for the Wii, Twilight Princess. However, the games coming out later in the year are set to be amazing, and it wins me over with the backwards compatibility, virtual console, and good looks :P

Well, i'm buying a DS. £30 atm, £30 on June 4th, and for my birthday i'll get £50, on average. Come June the 13th, I will have a DS with a shiny game. But what game?
Well, you guys help again. It's a choice between....
42 All Time Classics
Meteos DS
Prime: Hunters
Yoshi's Island DS
Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble
Tetris DS
MVDK: March of The Mini's
.....Super Princess Peach....
Yeah, so if any of you have reccomendations, then please give, as i'm stuck on which to get.

I highly doubt Yoshi's Island DS "sucks". I have the GBA version and absolutely loved it, it's awesome. This one isn't all that diferent, so I'm sure I would enjoy it. It just depends on what kind of games you like, so you can't say that a game sucks just because you don't like it. I don't like Tetris, but I'm not going to say it sucks.

I are teh confused.
Well the list goes like this now
Meteos DS
Prime: Hunters
Tetris DS
MVDK: March of The Mini's
Mario Kart DS
So that's narrowed it down. Except.
My Mario Kart DS is broken.
Can you guess why?
So i'll put that on the list

I have Yoshi's Island DS, and it's clearly not as good as you might think. Sure it's enjoyable, but you'd better get New Super Mario Bros. instead. I hardly recommend Diddy Kong Racing DS, but that's just me. Don't trust review sites on DKR DS... they suck. >_>
I dunno about 42 All Time Classics, it doesn't strike me at all and I don't see the use for it. Metroid Prime Hunters sounds intressting, but I don't know anything about it, same goes for Viewtiful Joe and Super Princess Peach.
Mario vs Donkey Kong... I could give a rant about how much Nintendo screws over Donkey Kong time over time again but meh... I don't. I don't like Mario vs Donkey Kong, and I've heard that this game wasn't as good as the first which I played, and didn't liked...
Just a random notice: I own in DKR DS! :) Just won 2 matches in a row in WFC.

Wouldn't you feel embarassed buying it though? Or would you have got it over the internet?
What do you think?
I do have until June to decide, so by then there might be more awesome titles out, so I might choose them. I'll say that it's between Hunters and Mario Kart atm. Of course, I could just buy both.

Go with Mario Kart imo. Hunters isn't too bad, but the game is quite shallow in terms of single player and the controls actually are pretty sloppy (and i'm one of the people that likes them :D). It's also the only Metroid game I own that I didn't bother going back to complete 100%, that might tell you something, haha.
Still get it though, lol, just get it after Mario Kart xP

Harvest moon on GBA was good when I was 11. Once you've married and upgraded everything, there's little else to do so it's a bit boring.
Now, the ULTIMATE question.
White or Black DS lite?

So I know whats happening now.
£50
Birthday in 2 days.
Hoping to get £70 for birthday ( which I should, as I only asked for money)
Buy white DS lite and Pokemon Diamond. If I get £100 for my birthday, I will buy another DS game.
Which other DS game?
I dont have a good adventure game. I have a racing, platformer. A puzzle would be nice, but they just frustrate me. Something like Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is something I want. Contact looks cool too.

Ashphalt: Urban GT2
Digimon World DS
Dragon Ball Z Supersonic Warriors 2
Point Blank DS?
I would suggest Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow rather than POR, and maybe you would consider Brothers in Arms? Although it's not as lengthy as a rpg.

Posted 15 June 2007 - 02:17 PM
Tomorrow, I will have enough for a white DS lite and a game with it.
The problem is:
Do I save £23 and buy just the DS, and buy one of the Castlevania's ( I'm just gonna get Pokemon at the beginning of next month) or do I buy the DS lite with Meteos and have about £5 left over for Castlevania?
#77
Posted 16 June 2007 - 03:42 AM
I'm going to buy a DS with Meteos when I pay the money I have into my account.
Then, i'll have a few quid left. Assuming that my friends are giving me money today when they're over for my birthday, thats another tenner. Thats £12 and £5 off Castlevania ( which I can get cheap on a site) And then I can easily get another fiver and then buy Castlevania.
The only flaw is if I dont get money from my friends, then i'll have to find another way to get the money.
Oh, and i'm getting Pokemon at the beginning of July.

But since your bro already has a Black DS, getting the white one was a good choice. Then, when he inevitably breaks it, buy a new Black DS and give him your old White DS to break. It's the perfect plan.
