Any of you read Rurouni Kenshin by Nobuiro Watsuki? Its a really good manga about a former assassin who seaks to find his way in the changing era of Japan. That's all I'll say but it is a great series. So, who else has read it?

is it good, i've only seen one episode and it was a few years back, i think it was durring the Shishio Makoto arc, and it was alright, but i didn't know the story at the time. and i don't think the anime covered the entire manga series.

Series sucked, IMO. Way too much.. fake humor. I saw the OVA's though, and at this point they are still the best anime movies I've seen together with Ghost in the Shell.

Never was a fan of reading manga though, since I don't like comic (for that matter, manga) books :P

I read a couple of the chapters from the manga, but I really became a fan of the anime. I don't really care much for it nowadays, because the plot got old after a while.

ive read 1 volume of the series and seen alot of clips from like random episodes in AMV's and stuff. personally i think the OVA's and the movie alot better :)

the manga gets a lot better as it progresses, the story gets deeper, the characters get better developed, and the art work improves. I have and have read, the entire series. And the endeing is realy cool.

Yes, the entire manga series in good. I have all 28 volumes. It gets a little more serious latter in the series, but still maintians humor through out. If you like Kenshin, you might want to read my fanfic that I'm writing. It takes place after the series ends though, so there might be spoliers for you. There's a link in my sig to it. I'm going to try to get the next chapter up soon, I just need to edit it.

Awesome! ^^ So is it true that much, much later on in the series, Kenshin bcomes much older, yet more powerful? Nice Fan fic, by the way. I like it!^^

Well, the seires only spans about a year or so of time. Apart from Kenshin, my favorite character has to be Siato, he shows up latter. He kicks ass.

My favorite would probably either be Sano or Kenshin. I'm kinda leanin' toward Kenshin.

Almost everyone likes Kenshin. A wandering samuri who carries a sakabato, (reveresed edge sword), with a past he dosn't want to talk about much, and is crazy strong. What's not to like?

And Sano is cool too. I give him major respect points for what he does near the end of the series. Same goes for Yahiko.

You really sould get and read the rest of the seires. You'll like it. And you'll be able to understand more of the refernces in my fanfic.

It's only about $215 before tax for the remaining 27 books. And BN is the best place to go for them.

Wow, that'd be awesome! ^^ The books would probably become priceless treasures, or be worth ALOT of money. But I don't sell my things.^^ Especially if it's autographed.
$215, eh? Hmm... this may take awhile, especially with three new games that I want. I gotta get myself a job.

It's taken about nine months or so to collect them all. I would get three or four every few weeks.

But what depresses me is that most people who don't read manga, consider them to be nothing more then comic books. They're not!!

I used to watch the Anime version of Rurouni Kenshin, and absolutely loved it. However, if I remember right, it never went to completion... anybody know what part of the manga the Anime doesn't cover?

I've only seen the first two or three episodes of the anime, so I can't tell you.

I finished 12 recently. I'm also going to start reading Death Note so time for reading Kenshin is going to get seperated.

the anime is 95ish episodes and the manga is 49 (?) volumes, so the anime covers a lot of it. There are quite a few Rurouni Kenshin OVAs and movies to cover the rest too

thre are three OVAs. One that covers Kenshin's past as Batosia, one that is a seperate movie, and one the takes place several years after the manga ends
