Anybody got any ideas for new games? Come up with original ideas, no matter how bizarre they seem! The only rule is that you don't use an already established game character or plot. Basically no 'Mario cooking' games or anything like that.
I think a game where you try to become Prime Minister (Or President for Americaland) of your country would be unique. Try to get elected, work your way through the office and try to stop anyone who wants you out. You could even factorise in things such as pressure by other countries to force you to make tough decisions and reporters trying to damage your reputation by making fun of your policies.
As I've just proved, they don't have to be brilliant. :D

      Rockstar RPG.

It's an RPG set in the 80's United States, start as an unknown singer, drummer, guitarist, or bassist, etc. and improve your skills at whatever instrument you've chosen. You can also make friends along the way to add to your band! You can get money doing gigs in numerous cities across the country to get better instruments and hire people to do fancy lighting effects at concerts and more, all while trying to approach stardom as the biggest and best band in the 80's.

That's the sort of idea that I'm looking for: something unique, but interesting as well.

Me and my sister (we're GNR fans) have both talked about a Rockstar RPG game. We both think that a game like that would be tough to develop, and we can't really decide on how concerts and gigs would work out because it'd be hard to write a song in a video game. Technology really doesn't have an artistic perspective, so how would the console/computer know what was a good-sounding song and what was a bad-sounding song?

But still, in concept it's a cool game. :D

                    Owned.

I think you all have a decent idea of what mine would be about, but here goes anyways.

My game would revolve around a piece of toast on an epic quest to save the world from destruction.
                    Prolouge:
The United States of Buttered Toast has been put under seige by the great French Toast Syndicate. With their flying, french made toasters, they come in swarms over seas and attack Buttered Toast cities with their lazah's which are fired from the handles of the toasters. You, a lone piece of toast named Toasty, must save the great U.S of B.T. from total annihalation. But it doesn't stop there, the FTS also begins to invade Great Biscuit (Great Britain), Toastbrot (Germany), and Pakitoast (Pakistan) among other places.

You go around searching for weapons, and in some cases, even make your own from what you have around you. Absolutely EVERYTHING in the game can be damaged/picked up/interacted with, and one of the game's signature weapons is a rocket launcher that shoots bars of butter. There's also sub-machine gun that shoots bread crumbs, and on the enemy's side, a cinnimon gas launcher among other things. You can go ANYWHERE in the world, even over seas, and in planes. Under certain circumstances, you can even fly jet fighters (there are many to choose from, all with their own advantages).

                      Tagger

You play as a generic character from an Oblivion viewpoint, traveling around a bustling city ridden with graffiti. Each tag has a recognizable style which relates to the artist or gang which created it. The goal of the player is to read the messages hidden in the graffiti and unravel the plot behind the enigmatic society of taggers.

Throughout the game you may meet one of these people and be accepted into their trust, becoming a tagger yourself and communicating with others by using your own unique tags. The ever-changing look of the game world makes it incredibly open-ended. Old tags fade and are replaced by new ones. Building sites spring up and become breeding grounds for taggers. In-game events cause new styles of graffiti to emerge. Spray cans start to pile up in dumpsters. The possibilities are endless.

I came up with an idea for a game, basically, you know how in quite a lot of games there are civilians that you have to avoid/can cause havoc to/shoot/run over etc, For example in Racing games like Need For Speed, there are civillian cars to avoid, in games like GTA and other shooters there are civillians that you can shoot or have to not shoot, And even games like Godzilla or such where you can stamp on civillians.

Basically, in this game idea you would play a normal average joe civillian, with a normal car, no access to uber guns etc, and you have to survive in this world where cars race around the streets (that you have to avoid), muggers might come and try to shoot you, and you have to avoid Godzilla like villains from games like that.

Any game where civillians get hurt could be included as enemies in this game. Might make a bit of a fun change. Obviously their'd be quests and such to do, but this might be stuff like doing the shopping or posting a letter(whilst avoiding all the hazards). To fight muggers and Godzilla etc (if you wanted to) you could use anything you find on your travels, so you probably wouldn't get guns or such but you might find kitchen knives or somthing.
