Anyone know of some good places to find quality anime. I'm trying to find some older stuff. Kenshin, MM NTW, and DBZ are just a few. I guess some of it aint that old. So any ideas what sites I could buy them from for low prices, (like less then $40 a set)

EDIT: Alright, I got a site to watch my anime now so I'm going to keep a list of what I have seen, am currently watching, and plan to watch. Make sure to check here before making recomendations

    Finished:
    Series:
    Trigun
    Fruits Basket
    Escaflowne
    FMA

    Stand alone movies:
    Princess Mononoke
    Howl's Moving Castle
    Highland: The Search for Vengeance
    Origin: Spirts of the Past
    Both FF movies
    Escaflone the movie
    Appleseed
    All three Samuri X OVAs
    Sprited Away

    Currently watching:

    Rurouni Kenshin
    Avatar- currently up to date
DBZ- through Season three right now
    Death Note
    Blech

    Plan to see:

    Samurai Deeper Kyo
    Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

    More Miyazaki films

You have to download and install a codec though, but they provide it on the site.

As opposed to what Caael? American TV? Where all you find is the same storyline on everything, immortal characters, bad voice acting and half assed animation? Same goes for real TV. Bad storylines, immortal characters, horrible voice acting. Anime wins over all other forms of television.

By the way escout, anime is much better subbed, rather then dubbed.

Rozen Maiden is my recommendation. If I can find the site I watched them all on, I'll link it here.

lolipower and request anime are best places for direct downloads. Anitube has quite a lot of series online to watch.

                        my recs:

                        Gintama
                        The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
                        Lucky Star
                        Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
                        Claymore
                        Nagasarete Airantou

                        they're all pretty new

make sure you watch FLCL, its illegal not to.

Caael: Scrubs is as funny as unaneathesized bowel surgery. whats the point in posting when you've got nothing to say?

                            Gintama

                            Genre: Comedy, Sci-fi, Histoircal

Synopsis: End of Edo period, aliens called "Amanto" began to invade the Earth, and the war between the Earth and Amanto broke out. During the war, many samurai lost their lives. However, the Earth was no match for the overwhelming weapons of Amand, and they surrendered to Amando. The government became a puppet of Amando, and Amandos had their own way in Edo city. On the other hand, the government banned the samurai from carrying swords.
The story takes place around a samuri and their buddies who live in this hard time for samurai. Cue lots of stupid adventures and general hilarity

                            The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

                            Genre: School Life, Comedy

Synopsis: A far from ordinary school story starts here!

This is a story of Suzumiya Haruhi, who upon enrollment at school announced "I have no interest in ordinary humans. If there are any aliens, beings from the future, or super-humans, come see me. That is all!"

Naturally, any normal person would think "What the...?", but Haruhi is dead serious. Things get crazy when everyone realizes just how serious she is about it all and establishes the "SOS Brigade".

Suzumiya Haruhi is a good-looking high school girl who has a clear head, haughty personality and very egocentric thought. She has an unimaginably tremendous power to change the world, but she is totally unaware of her own power and so she is also unaware of the effect of her power on the outside world.

A delightfully strange, yet marvelously interesting story!

Synopsis: The series follows the everyday life of four highschool girls. The main character is Konata Izumi, a female otaku who enjoys anime and video games. Lots of random conversations about everything and nothing, very funy.

Synopsis: In the distant future, people build their homes and raise domestic animals in subterranean caverns. As a result, they live in fear of the occasional earthquake and cave-in, and have been for hundreds of years. Jeeha is one such village.

One day, a boy named Simon happens to find a small, shiny drill whilst digging to expand the village. At the same time, Kamina, a guy who believes that there is another land above the village, persuades a gangster to break through the ceiling in order to leave the cavern. Suddenly, an earthquake occurs and the ceiling collapses, followed by a big robot breaking through the ceiling.

Kamina is now sure that there is a world above them. Recklessly, he begins to fight against the robot. At that moment, another person appears from the land above. It is a girl by the name of Yoko. With a rifle in hand, she had been tracking the robot. However, all she could do was distract it. Then, Simon shows what he had found to Kamina and Yoko. It's a mysterious robot whose head is also its body.

When Claire was a child, she met Theresa, the strongest Claymore. To save Claire, Theresa broke their iron rule to kill a human. Because of breaking the rules, she was wanted by punitive group. Pricilla, a member of the punitive group, couldn't control the power of the magical sword, and turned into an "Awakened". Then, Theresa was beaten by the large power of Pricilla. To avenge Theresa, Claire decided to inherit Theresa’s flesh to become Claymore.

                            Genre: Comedy, romance(?)

Synopsis: Nagasarete Airantou revolves around Ikuto Tōhōin, the main protagonist, who ran away from home because of a fight with his father. Due to a life-long dream of wanting to board a ship, Ikuto decides to take a vacation until the ship is suddenly hit by a huge storm throwing Ikuto overboard. He wakes up the next day to discover he is on an uncharted island populated by girls. Ikuto finds himself to be extremely popular on the island due to the fact that no other men are currently on the island. In effect, nearly the entire island starts going after Ikuto to become his bride, all except a young girl named Suzu and her extremely old grandmother. Suzu's grandmother decides that Ikuto will live with Suzu for the time being, but Ikuto initially finds it difficult to adjust, especially with the entire island population after him night and day. Meanwhile, Suzu does her best to protect Ikuto from the masses. However, Ikuto still does not want to stay on the island any longer, and soon after arriving, he attempts to leave by boat, but discovers the island is completely surrounded by whirlpools and thus it is impossible to leave. With no other choice, Ikuto starts to settle into life on the island.

I'm going to agree with Tas. on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. I just finished watching it about a minute ago. It's a freaking head trip and a half.

                                I liked it.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is probably one of the best anime's I've watched. A lot happens in pretty much every episode, so you can't really skip one and then expect to know what's going on. It's also pretty short, assumeing that it only has 27 episodes. I don't know if there's any more after that, but I'm on number 23 atm.

They could have easily broken every episode in half, and then added some extra content to make the series twice as long, but it's still great the way it is.

Torrents. I watched it on a media player I downloaded that came with a bunch of awesome codecs.

thats the one about the people living underground untill some earthquake hits, right?

Yeah, and they find a mecha. I'll let you watch it for the rest of the story. ;D

@WD: Pretty epic hardly does it justice. Try "MOTHER FREAKING AWESOME," or something similar without all caps.

Also, I think I still have the torrent that has all 27 episodes in standard def if your PC can't handle high-def. The sound would always get ahead of the video for me. D:
