Yes! What are you playing right now? But WAIT! Don't just post a reply straight away, I won't allow this topic to turn into spam where people just post "Zelda: Ocarina of Time" and submit it, here's what you do:

    (Name of Game)
    (Platform)
    (Cost)

(Description of the game and what you think of it)

If this topic was already made, sorrrrry! You can Delete it if so, but do not move to spam forum unless people start typing out 3 words replies.

    I'll start:
    --------------------------------------

    Game: The Getaway
    Platform: PS2
Cost: Bought for £20 on first Release

Description: GTA-Style game based in London, everything is detailed and cloned to the SCRATCH except for the fact that in the game the police carry guns?! O.o
Anyhow, everything is totally licensed, it must have cost a ton, LotR Cinema adverts (The game was released when LotR was first screened), bus adverts on Nike Adidas, licensed cars, Mazda, Mini, Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc. sadly the game is let down by the little ammount of guns available, you only get one shotgun, AK, and dual Glocks, that's it...Although on a finer note, the game's shooting system is better than GTA's, although it uses auto-lock, you can roll, lean on walls, behind cars and other obstacles, while shooting, if you get behind an opponent you can snap their neck (Or arrest them, depending on the character you play as). The storyline is straightforward'ish, your wife is killed, and your son is kidnapped right infront of you, the polive believe you did it, and a retired gang-leader phones you up to tell you HE has your son, in-return for your sons life, he makes you traverse London doing razy jobs against the other Gang leaders in London, the Triads, the Yardies, and the Bethnal Green Boys, so half-way through, not only are you the most wanted man in London, but you are also the most wanted man by every single major gang in London! The rest of the storyline, I won't tell. A great game, very fun, totally awesome if you live in London like me, I actually have learned Oxfords street off by heart by playing this game, I actually instructed the cab driver to China Town even though I'd never been there before, the game is very detailed.

      Name: Fire Emblem
      Platform:GBA
      Cost:$49.99

Fire Emblem is a very hard stratgic game. You can chose your fighters, trade, and gain new ones throughout the game. It is VERY long. There are three stories which are divided into chapters. Characters can die in this game so be careful.

      Commits:
OMG This game is sooooo hard!!!! But this game is very idicting :D . I suggest this game as a first GBA game to anyone with one.

Firstly...$49.99?! That's the full price for a Console game!!! Jeebus I'd never pay full price for a GBA game, you can get Fire Emblem here for £15 if you get it from an Indy Retailer. Secondly...Based on the information you have given me, and then recommended me to buy this game straight away, I wouldn't, why? The reason being you have not stated anything much, you have basicaly just raved on about a game you love, you should talk about teh downsides of the game, what it should improve on, what it has, what's the basic storyline, etc.

What I'm playing: Medal of Honor Frontline
          Platform: GCN
          Cost: $20.00

Medal of Honor: Frontline is WWII in Europe. You start off at Normandy, France when your squad lands at Omaha Beach. There are more battles throughout the game from sabotaging a U-boat to the liberation of the Netherlands/Holland.

            Name: Pristontale
Platform: none, it's a computer game.
            Cost: free MMORPG

Desciption: a Diablo-style game, ofcourse only multiplayer, which is actually based on a hack 'n slash game. you have a few quest when you get 10 levels higher, but furthermore nothing RPG like. the world is just huge, and every part has stronger monsters. leveling up is hard (which is more fun), and there is a massive amount of items. there are different races, which each different classes. you can join clans, or make one when you are level 40 or higher. you can trade things, buy things, find things. there are so-called Crystals, which allows you to summon a monster (one per Crystal). some requires a high level (like one needs level 50). all this together gives a great gaming experience.

            rating: 8.5/10

A very generous rating? Or is this game like the best game in the world? I don't think I myself would ever rate anything 10/10, that would make it almost perfect, which can not happen...

Also, Neo_Genesis, you play Pristontale? I agree it is a great game. But a 8.5/10? Don't you think that it gets somewhat tedious walking aroung killing monsters?

Finally Neo_Genesis, how long have you been playing? If you played for a long time I would be thankful if you could help me.

Comments: In a word: Unbelievable. One of the best games EVER, rivaling (spelling?) Ocarina of Time. The Gameplay is smooth, the plot is great (more than just saving Aryll, Link's younger sister, of course- also, the opening movie about the legend was SO beautiful)... The Music is addictive... let's see, replay value? Missed a few Heart Pieces? Need to get all the Treasure Maps? Want to see if Tingle is insane? See Link in clothes that aren't green?
The graphics (cel-shading) are GREAT! The colors are vivid, the animations are great (I love seeing Link surprised or a certain female "pirate" get annoyed)

Okay, I was trying to avoid as many spoilers as I could... But seriously. I'm trying to be modest about it, but I just can't. One of the best out there.

                                    Played, beat, still has fun.

I beat it on Legendary several times with different weapons and whatnot. I have done Co-Op, had an awsome 16 personal LAN party. I pretty much have milked the game of everything it has.

                                            For the Nintendo Gamecube

                                              Platform: SNES
                                              Genre: Rpg/Strategy
                                              Cost: I have no clue

Comments: One of the best games ever made. Period. In many RPG/Strategy gamers opinions, this game is as good/better than FFT! And I'm not lying. The maps are many times larger then the one's in FE7 (the one with Eliwood), they were mostly large parts of a country. This was the only downside, as sometimes, marching through a mountain terrain would take a long time. But anyway. A lot of new things were introuduced. The rock>scissors>paper was introduced for the weapons. Many new classes, and no dismounting. Also had the "Lovers" system, giving you the freedom to pair your units, so you would have to protect the females so they still had children for the second half. And many more. Considered to be the greatest FE of all time, it also has one of the biggest plot changes ever! It is a complex tale of war, politics, giving you a sense of a duty to fulfill. If there is a way for you to get this wonderful, addicting game, then I would get it.

Title: Zone of Enders: The Second Runner
                                                    Format: Sony Playstation2
                                                    Price: £40

Comments: Well, I love this game, truly & utterly love it, what more can I say? I LOVE THIS GAME! Anyway, what is Z.O.E about? Well, firstly, Second Runner is the sequal to the first, and a prequel to the GBA version, confused? Well if you are, you'll be even more confused about the storyline, as every game & animé connects this series together in some way (Kinda like .Hack//) You play as Dingo Egret, a Miner on the Jupiter moon Calisto, after discovering an Orbital Frame (Mecha) with an advanced Battle A.I calling herself ADA, Dingo is forced to pilot Jehuty after his comrades are udner attack shortly after him discovering the Frame, but Dingo can't be taken lightly, his history was never always as a Miner, Dingo Egret was the leading Frame pilot for BAHRAM's (Mars Resistance) main unit 6 years ago, but what's this? The enemy attacking is BAHRAM?! Dingo meets his old comrade, Nohman, who has just recently stolen Anubis from the Antilia Colony, he had also Targeted Jehuty but a boy had managed to pilot it to safety, and hide it in Calisto until now, both Jehuty & Anubis are twins, but Anubis had some techncial advancements added to it's system in the period of time it was hyjacked in, Dingo is killed soon after, but how can teh main character die? He doesn't, of course, Dingo's vitals are linked up to Jehuty's Metatron Reactor, so as long as Dingo stays in teh ****pit he'll be okay, now it's personal, and business, Dingo is ordered to stop Anubis & Nohman, from starting a weapon known only as "Project Aumaan", and also, avenge not only his death, but the death of his comrades which were killed by Nohman 6 years ago, which was why he left BAHRAM. From then on, the storyline gets better and better, twists and turns everywhere, but of course, you can expect this from a game developed by Konami, the people involved were all top-of-the-line, Hideo Kojima, Mecha design by the same guy who designed MGS and was helped by a man who designed the mecha for a very popular Animé series in Japan but I forgot the name of it, Music composed by the people who composed the music for Front Mission and MGS, and this cast of pro's goes on forever, so by now, from all of this text, you start to wonder "He still hasn't even told us what genre game it is!" well, the developers like to call it "Fast-Paced Mecha Action" or as we'll call it, just Action. You have many various attacks, from close range slicing & dicing to long range giantt energy balls and small burst shots, there are various enemy's, all with weakeness' and strong points of course, but of course, boss' too, enemy Orbital Frame's like Nepthis, Inhert, and of course Anubis are only a few of the spectacularly designed Boss Orbital Frames, fighting doesn't get too tiresome because there are so many combinations of attacks you can do, I personally love grabbing one enemy, and then using him as a baseball bat, then using him a a shield, then when I'm done, spinning him around and throwing him at 200mph at another enemy, great fun!Graphically, this game is pretty unique, they're tried to make it in-between detailed/realistic & Cel-Shaded/Animé-style, and they've captured it perfectly, with Animé cutscenes and detailed robots, it's perfect for any Mecha Otaku! Music, I just really like, they go for Techno mainly, and althuogh I hate Techno, the music for this game is stuck in my head, the Opening theme is just awesome, called "Beyond the Bounds", and just watching the opening video is enough to tell you this game is something special and different, gameplay depends on how much you like the idea of Mecha, for most people this game will prove tiresome after a while as they will not see alot of variety in teh fighting system, but after you master it, it's endless, slap on a VS Mode with all the main Frames, all teh boss's and include Anubis as a palyable character in VS mode, include a VR Missions mode just like on MGS, and what do you have? Tons of reply value. A truly awesome experience for me.

I just love this game!

Can I just say, you've not really described FFXI, you've basically just described every MMORPG in general, meet people, get confused, join guilds, same old same old. The only thing different I see in this game, is the Sqauresoft style, other than that, it's just another MMORPG...Why oh why did TFLO get cancelled... *Cries More*

Absolute brilliance, not as long as other Zelda's like OoT or LttP but plays so well it doesn't matter, the combat is yet to be beaten, the story is gripping and has one of the most original, innoative final fights in gaming history, not to mention sub-quests galore. Also came with Ocarina of Time and Ocarina of Time Master Quest, 3 games for £30.00 is quite the bargain.

Description: Well, if you're an XBox owner, this is one of those games which needs no intro, 99% of XBox gamers pwobably own or have played this game. You are the Master Chief, the last of your kind, a superhuman warrior able to overcome suicidal odd's; after Covenant cruisers attack your ship, all the crew try and abandon ship onto the nearest planet, which in this case, turns out to be an unkown ring called Halo. Not even half the crew manages to survive through to Halo, but the ones who do, manage to form an effective resistance. As the Master Chief, you must find out why the Covenant ae so interested in this ring world, what's the secret to it? And when you find the secret...Stop it...

Gameplay: Well, as a FPS game you'd think, "Been there, done that." but the Halo experience is quite different, the Enemy A.I have been created so nicely, it's very hard to get bored of taking out various covenant enemies using greatly designed weapons, from Human Shotguns & Rocket Launchers, you can use Alien Plasma Rifles & Needle guns. Great fun to experiment with each weapon.

Sound: The Music, is absalutely fine. Ranging from Tribal Alien music, to Violin solo's. And weapon sound's are great too, Assault Rifle's have a great feel to them, shotguns have that "Boom-Click" sound, Energy weapons keep true to their sounds too! And Grenades? Well, with 5.1 Sarround Sound on your XBox, It's perfectly natural to think your house is being bombed.

Graphics: For the XBox? Very Good. For all consoles in General? Awesome! Lighting is done nicely, and the Master Chief just looks great, Covenant enemy's are well designed, the huge level's are beautiful, the water shines like there's no tommorow, the tree's are a bit of a let-down, but maybe because they are Alien tree's they're meant to look so weird...Who knows. The explosions and ragdoll physics are nice, cutscenes are okay considering all cutscenes are pretty much in-game rather than CG.

Multiplayer: Very nice indeed, host A 16 person LAN party and you'll be playing until you drop. Great maps to choose from, great Game Modes ranging from CTF, to all out Deathmatch, Stalker is a personal favourite of mine, one person is invisible, the first one to find & kill him gets his Invisibility, great mode to play; not to mention, if you don't like Vs Multiplayer, how about trying out the Single Player Co-Op Campaign? Yup, all the fun you had the first time 'round you played, but this time with your best buddy to experience the action too!

Lifespan: When it comes to longetivity, this game can last A long time (There's no need to prove it, anyone who owns an Xbox is my proof!). Throw in a series of Difficulty settings, including Legendary Mode, which is how the name describes it, beat it on that, and you deserve to call yourself A gamer! :( Believe me I say you'll never get bored of throwing Plasma Grenades onto an enemy (They stick) and watching them run around trying to get it off, only to blow up and fly 30 metre's into the air! Add a Multiplayer & Co-Op mode, and you have all the lifespan neceasy for an FPS!

                                                                  Overal Rating: 9.5/10

Description: This game lets you play god. You can create families with a wide variety of tools, construct houses and customise neighborhoods, choose a lifelong dream or goal for your sims to acheive. Give them a career and help them earn a reputation. Watch as they find friendship, romance, and prosper.

Either that, or destroy them in the many torturous ways you can.

Also available are expansions and programs, like "House Crafter" or "Body Shop." There are a lot of accessable clothes, genetics, and residences to download online as well. I reccommend www.modthesims2.com, www.thesims2resource.com, and the official website, www.thesims2.com.

And for you destructive sim fans, download hacks that will make your family MISERABLE!

Check out their other games like "Zoo Tycoon 2" or "Rollercoaster Tycoon."

The game is certainly the best racing game you can get for the Gamecube. It takes the best of the Hot Pursuit series and adds it to the best of the Underground series and melds them almost seamlessly. The police in this game adds a realism factor that wasn't there in the Underground series. However, the police are not as smart as their real-life counterparts would be. They don't carry guns or else shooting your tires out would just end a pursuit. Also, Pursuit Breakers make it way too easy to end a pursuit, but it also adds fun to the game. Obviously you can't be completely real. It would have been better if there were more customizable parts. There are no more mix and match bumpers, only body kits (and precious few at that). The Blacklist system of gameplay is awesomely creative, but can get old after the third or fourth play-through. Overall, there is not as much customization as NFSU but being able to play in the daylight, having cops chasing you, and still holding down a great sense of speed, this game is a must have for a GC racing fan.

Maxis did NOT make Zoo Tycoon or Rollercoaster Tycoon. Rollercoaster Tycoon is made by Atari, and Zoo Tycoon is made by Microsoft (or is at least licensed/published by Microsoft...)

                                                                                I'm playing:

It's a pretty expensive PC game at 40 bucks, but it's worth it. This is technically a tycoon game, but it's easy to forget that since the game has much more depth than most tycoon games. In a nutshell, you build your Studio Lot, hire your actors/directors, train them up a bit, shoot your movies, release your movies, and reel in the big bucks to repeat the cycle.

Though that's a pretty toned down nutshell. If you simply did all that, you would phail. Phail with a P. There's more strategy to it. Actors have personal looks and physique (for females, the physique is breast size. For males, it's pectoral size. Your actor's physique is also determined by how trim/fat they are) that make them better suited to certain movies. The genre's are Horror, Action, Sci Fi, Romance, and Comedy. If your actress has got big boobs, put her into an Action flick and she'll do great. If your actor has good looks, but not necessarily a good pec size, he could be good for Sci-Fi. But if he lacks the experience for that genre, the movie will be a complete flop. Good thing the actors can practice for certain genre's off the screen. Just don't do it too much or they'll get stressed. If that happens, let them take a break from acting/practicing, and let them shoot some hoops on the Studio's basketball court, or sit around on a bench, or... let them drink and/or eat it off. Don't let them do that too much either, or they could get addicted to food and/or alcohol. That would REALLY screw them up.

As time goes on, actors get older. Eventually retiring at 70. Speaking of time, the game starts at the year 1920. Fashion trends change, technology improves, and Plastic Surgery comes around () Every 5 years an award ceremony takes place. This is basically like the Oscars but without all the cheesy speechs. Okay, there are a few, but they're not as long as what you see in the Oscars. Getting the awards can be challenging, particularily when the old generation of your actors retire, and the new, inexperienced generation comes in. The awards give you benefits which makes your job a helluva lot easier. Example: They give stress reduction for your Stars, and they can also help your Scientists research stuff faster. What benefit you get depends on what awards you win. The benefits last until the next Awards Ceremony, but you get to keep them if you win the award(s) that gave you the benefit in the first place again.

I bet this sounds like a lot of work, and believe me, it is. It can get a bit overwhelming. Alot of the stuff you make your actors do is done by picking them up, and placing them on the target area. And you can't pause the game with a person in your hand, like you can do in Rollercoaster Tycoon. It's not a BIG problem, but it would be much more convenient, since you will often times want to do a bunch of things at one time.

And about the descriptors: Blood and Gore, and Suggestive Themes. I have yet to see any blood in this game. The game's violence IS pretty realistic though. If blood actually drew from the characters, I personally think it might have been rated M. :P The Blood and Gore descriptor may have been because some of the costumes contain blood stains on them, although I have yet to acquire such costumes. And the Suggestive Themes is because some of the actions are rather risque. One of the kissing actions has one actor (preferably the male actor) putting his hand briefly on the other actor's (preferable female) breast. Note that there is no sex option, at all. Not even a PG-Rated version like in the Sims. All of these actions mentioned are in movies-only, you'll rarely see violence or anything too suggestive off-set.

                                                                                -----
Heh, if you think this was long, you should've seen what I had typed before I trimmed it down! XD Anyway, I give the game an:

                                                                                9/10

I want to give it a 10, or even a 9.5, but the game just doesn't deserve it. There's room for improvement, which will hopefully happen if it gets an expansion pack. Even so, the game is very addicting, and anyone with $40 free should at least seriously consider getting it.

It's a pretty good game, gameplay wise, but many things (like user interface) could have been alot better. Having said that though, Im not at all disappointed about buying this. It's so fun cutting up all the guards in the guild (main training area thing).

Alright, I bought this game a year ago, played it for a few weeks, accidentally turned it off while it was saving and lost the file. I haven't played it since. I'm bored with pretty much all my games so I had some spare time (which is almost all my time nowadays) and picked it up. If you're into sim basketball, drop this game, it's not for you. But, if you're a casual fan, it's really a great game. The gamebreakers stop the show, the graphics are stunning, and the street challenge mode is surprisingly addictive. Also the fact that if you have two huge players on your team (Kobe and Shaq) they might not get along, which adds realism because basketball players have huge egos apparently.

                                                                                      8/10

I can't really give it a better score than that, because even though there are many moves, the fact that you have to throw in as many moves as possible, takes away from the game and leaves something to be desired.

Platform: PS2/PC/Mac (I think it's on Mac too anyway...)
Price: I dunno, it's an archive game from the 2000s. 5-10 U.S. dollars these days I think.

This game caught my eye because of the 9/10 rating from Gamespot and the fact that it raised a bit of affliction (for lack of word) to the ESRB.

It's hard to write a description since I don't own a full version. Okay, to start, why this game interested me so much. In the game, one of the characters is a Sea Reaper (a nymph-like creature) who, orignally, was developed topless with a barely transparent skirt just enough so you could see some butt occasionally (though you cannot see any frontal nudity besides the breasts). I'm not a perv, though I used to be. XD When they sent the game into publishing, the publishers demanded that they cover her breasts and paint the red blood green. (kinda stupid, especially the blood) The nudity is actually, in my opinion, pretty tasteful. It wasn't pornography at all. Besides, if you're a nymph-like creature who was going to be swimming alot, I think you'd want to be wearing the least ammount possible, too. :P The game (for the PC) still has an M rating apparently, even without nudity and green blood. It's impossible to get an AO rating with bare breasts (unless it was in a porno kind of way) so what the point of covering her was is beyond me.

Onto the demo itself. The demo has you playing as Delphi the Sea Reaper. You are asked for help by Yan, a Smartie( these little smart dudes who do something important in the full game), to find his fellow Smarties that were held captive by evil Meccas, who are robotic dudes with guns. Delphi starts off with a sword, a standard bow, and a Hellfire bow. As you collect the Smarties, Yan gives you more spells. The game's controls are your standard WASD FPS controls, with ALT as jump and SPACE as cast.

The game features two cameras, 3rd person camera and 1st person camera. The 3rd person camera should be your primary camera control, 1st person is only really useful for when you try to shoot someone from afar. More camera control would have been nice, but I guess it wasn't that important.

The graphics are fairly dated, but even in todays standards, the characters look pretty good. Delphi, especially her stomach, is pretty smooth. Her animations are a little jerky in-game, but again, the game is fairly dated. But the cut scene's animation looks fine. The water moves fairly well when you swim. These were some pretty damn good graphics when it was released.

The sound is still pretty good for todays standards. The music isn't that special though.

Anyway, you can download the demo(s) just about anywhere, but I reccomend download.com

                                                                                        Here

Note: There are two demos. One is for the Sea Reaper and the other for a different race the full game features called the Meccaryn. I'll check that one out tommorow.

The demo has Delphi's breasts covered up with a bikini top by default, but you can take it off by going to: Program Files < Giants Reaper Demo < Bin

Find the "arpfix.gzp" file and rename the file to "arpfix.[insert anything here]". You can bring her bikini top back by renaming it back to ".gzp". If you're scared, just view screenshots on IGN or Gamespot and decide if it's explicit yourself. (which it isn't, but I don't know what this forum would consider pornography or explicit so I'm scared to provide links to pictures to compare what Delphi looks like censored and uncensored)

                                                                                        ---
I really hope this game eventually gets a sequel. It doesn't have to contain nudity, heck they could get rid of Sea Reapers entirely (though that would be a let-down since people seem to think this race is the best) as long as it had the same basic mechanics and humor.
