I like the theme on Medal of Honor: Rising Sun at the first Pearl Harbor mission when you get to the deck of the California and then your friend gives you a Browning Automatic Rifle. It describes the scene of the Japanese attack really well. I also like the music on GSTLA when the Mars Becon is lit and the lighthouses come into contact....but I'm not ganna say any more of that cause its kinda like a spoiler... o_O

Yeah, it's the English version I prefer, but the Japanees Version is just as good, only that it's harder to udnerstand so I prefer the English one. :)

I like the hyrule field(day) music on Oot and the sailing out to sea(day) on the ww.
Other favourites include the music against Leblanc as Yuna when using Rikku and Paine at the start of ffx-2.
My absolute favourite however has to be the Dollet music on FF8 which is repeated at the festival of the hunt on FF9.

I love all Final Fantasy music - Uematsu is a God!! The battle themes are always excellent so it makes it a pleasure to fight for hours on end!

I am also liking the music in Guilty Gear, it's all very catchy and rocky. Makes you really want to fight well! ^__^

God is an Understatement. Its to bad that's he's left Sqaure (or so Ive heard).
Final Fantasy music is brilliant. Especially some from X-2 (Not the pop stuff, the final battle theme)

Harry-Gregson williams (Famour Composer for movies and Games) Is also god-like. Some of his work for Metal Gear Solid 2 is better than you'll ever hear in some movies.

my utter favourite (at the moment) is the battle theme when you fight Shuyin. I've previously liked the music called "Bevelle Underground". (It doesnt play much in the game. But its on when Angra Mainyu comes out to say hi, and when your attacked by a malboro in the Bevelle Labirynth)

I can't believe that I missed this topic. I love most of the music from GS 1 + 2 (46, 47, 93, 95 in the Battle Arena are my faves). I also like *some* of the music from Sonic Adventures 1 + 2, and also, Sniper Wolf's battle theme from Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. The bg music for the "Island" arena in DBZ: Budokai is also awesome.

Squaresoft games tend to have really good music. Sword of Mana is a good example. Beleive in Victory and Seeking the Holy Sword are pretty nice. One Winged Angel an J-E-N-O-V-A are great aswell.

A game that has very funny and interesting music is Tropico for the PC. That music's just crazy!

I agree with Caael. One of the tracks I listen to most is End of a Thought - the remix of Kratos' theme that plays when you challenge him one on one with Lloyd.

The music from Contact is awesome. It really sets the mood for the area you're in. While it's not as epic and grandoise as GS music, Contact is not as epic and grandoise as GS.

I don't take game music too seriously, but that's one theme that sticks out in the game for me for the same reasons.

I believe I've said this before, but while we're on the subject of good game music from GS, I found the Jupiter Lighthouse to be great. The theme was different from the other lighthouse themes and so good that I go back to the lighthouse sometimes just to listen to the music.

Oh and a hint for all the GS people out there, the music gets about twenty times better when you use headphones, trust me.

Music in video games is very important for me, far more than graphics is. Good tunes just add so much more to the game that graphics don't.
