I've been debating wether I want to get a PSP or not. The problem is that there are only about seven or eight games for it that I might want. Would that be worth it? And could you recomend any games for the PSP that are exclusive and that are good that I may like. So mainly RPGs.

id have to say no. there just arent enough good games out there for it now.(plus you have to buy a memory stick, and handlbars because those thing dont sit to comfortable in your hands for long) you should save your money for somthing else or buy a DS

It sits fine. A 2gb stick can be picked up for $40 AUD at a market.

I say no, unless you buy either a 2gb or 4gb stick, and hack it. Meaning ISO's off of the memory stick. That's what I did, even then I ended up selling it.

Go with WD. Buy a DS, and buy flashcarts to load roms. That's what I do, and I haven't sold it :P

If you have the money, I suggest getting a PSP when the new PSP Slim comes out.

There's a new God of War coming soon to PSP, which most likely will rock. GoW, and GoW11 are known as the best PS2 games ever, and possibly the best last-gen games. (I can personally say GoW is the best action game I ever played; never played GoW11)
MGS: Portable Ops, Daxter and Killzone are also good games.

Since you already have a DS, I'd say gor for it... In September =)

PSP is basically a portable version of the Playstation consoles... not necessarily a bad thing, but if you already have a Playstation console and a DS, there really isn't much reason to buy one.

So, escout, I know you're interested in getting the Sims 2. I say, buy the Sims 2 instead, and grab the expansions that interest you. You'll probably get more mileage out of that, and spend less money.

I'd say your decision is pretty much made. If you've got games you want to buy and the money, you should go for it.

Hmm.. I've also been wanting a PSP, but.. there's like only one game that I actually really want, which is the sad part. -.-;; I've been wanting Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology for it. I don't really know what other games there are for it, though. I guess I'm no help for this system. ^^

I don't know about ToW:RM. Most of the reviews I've read on it leave some to be desired, and don't impress me much.

There are about four or five games atm that I want, but I don't know if thats a good enough reason. After all, I start college in a week and I have to pay for tuition myself.

PSP's outselling every console in Japan at the moment thanks to the release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. According to Edge magazine, the game is actually pretty godamn sweet, and could be worth picking up a PSP for along with Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, LocoRoco, Lumines and the few other games worth playing. As to your question about buying a PSP, if you don't have a DS already then buy that first as it's a better hand-held, or buy a console.

Nobody cares unless it's actually a good game, except for the fanboys of course since they'll buy it on the franchise reputation alone. I found Chain of Memories boring, I have KH2 on my bookshelf right now and it's still in the packaging because I still haven't had the time to play it yet. I like KH because the original game was excellent fun, however that remains to be seen about the THREE Kingdom Hearts games which Squenix recently announced. They're going to milk it as much as Final Fantasy soon, it's only a matter of time before the release of Kingdom Hearts Tactics.

Yeah, because obviously Squenix's CG cutscenes always gives us a pretty accurate impression on how good the gameplay or story is going to be, right? Don't you think it's a little early to become a BBS fanboy when you haven't seen any real gameplay footage, and have no idea what it's even going to be like aside from the basic fact that it's set before all the other Kingdom Hearts games? How many Squenix cutscenes have you seen which didn't look really good? Hold your horses fanboy, if you should be getting excited about something it's Advance Wars: Dual Strike 2.

Advance Wars: Dual Strike 2 has a completely new image which is much more mature, plus they have in-game screenshots for it already. I've even seen some gameplay footage since the game was playable at a French gaming event recently. So while I'm basing my opinion on the game itself, and not the franchise's reputation, that would make me far from a fanboy but rather someone who has an ounce of common sense on a forum where fanboys only need to see a ****ing FMV sequence to get erections over a game.

I'm not a fanboy of anything. Except maybe for the AW series. I just stated that the trailer looked pretty cool, and then said to the effect of "but we'll have to wait for the reviews and demos to get a better idea of what the game will be like."

It's called Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. Personally, I think it'll be better than the previous AW's. It seems it'll be much darker and more mature than the other games. 90% of the worlds population has been killed because of this huge war and natural disasters. I haven't seen any pics though.

It all goes into art design. AW DS was cheery and colorful, but it didn't always work with the story of hundreds to thousands of people dying in a world being sucked of life. Oh, oops, spoiler. ;)

Now all that we have to worry about is whether or not they'll overdo it, huh? And speaking of which, looks like you've got more work for an AW site.

I was thinking about buying a PSP again, I sold my first one, it sucked. I was thinking of buying one so I could use a Ps1 emulator to play FF7 and FF8. But I talked myself out of it, what was I thinking :P

Anyway, back to the topic of this noob wanting to buy a PSP. As I said, unless you already have all other formats, I wouldn't go for the PSP. The game selection is still pretty lacking, if I were you I'd pick up a Nintendo DS or Xbox 360 if you don't already own them.

No...don't get a PSP. Just get an IPod Touch. They're the same thing really...both can play music and save pictures and both have ****ty games you can play.

The only game thats actually good for the PSP is FF7: Crisis Core.

NO! NO! NEVAR! CASTLEVANIA IS STRICTLY A 2D GAME! Devil May Cry is Devil May Cry. Castlevania is Castlevania. THEY ARE SEPARATE! Castlevania should never, ever be a 3D game. Castlevania DoS and PoR were amazing Castlevania games, they were 2D. SoTN was the perfect Castlevania, nothing has matched that masterpiece since.

Oh yeah, anything before symphony of the night is crap, because they dont have the levelling system or the complexity etc. But I love everything after SOTN, apart from 64 ;)
