pHantOm plays WoW. Well, he used to, but stopped when he noticed it took over his life and he lost his friends, girlfriend and everything else. I think he plays it from time to time now.

*shrugs* That last one has been inactive for like two years but there isn't a reason to make a topic about two games... particularly when one of the games still has an active topic.

Do you know why GW is better than WoW? It's a 15 buck difference.

$15 of why WoW is better, if you pay for it you know it's gonna be good, I have friends who used to play GW and now play WoW and even they say WoW is better, instead of being one of those asshole idiots who just runs their mouth, why not, if you haven't already, try playing WoW, they did not say it was better in every aspect, but they did say that overall they liked it better.

Just because it's expensive doesn't really mean it's good. There's a lot of stuff out there that's expensive, but there is always something cheaper that's just as good. And I haven't heard enough as to WHY WoW is better than any other overpriced (or otherwise) MMO out there. Everyone I talk to just lays down the "it just is" card. This just makes me assume that the game is simply addicting, not so much unlike Maple Story where the gameplay itself severely lacks but the formula is incredibly addicting.
SO, I'm not paying $50 for a game that I might have already experienced elsewhere. I've tried other MMOs... they're all the same except GW.

EDIT: Not anymore actually. Like phantom, I realised what it was doing to me and stoped. I rarely play anymore.

At least until school comes around.
But as for the Tales of series, what exactly are they and what makes them so freaking awesome?

Enlighten me as to what makes WoW superior to Guild Wars. And "Because you pay for it it must be better" is a damn terrible statement..

Guild wars has THE greatest PvP system in any MMORPG ever.
REally, it is superior to ANYTHING any other game provides.

GW2 is going to have a completely revamped control system. It won't be an overhead game like Diablo. (who are the same team that brought GW, coincidentally) It will be similiar to WoW from what I understand, you'll be able to jump and swim and even climb trees.
Anyway, as Lemon said GW is ultimate for PvP with a whole mode dedicated to it. You can't depend on uber equipment or levels for PvP in GW, you need actual strategy. Which brings me to saying that GW is more aimed to casual play rather than being on for 72 hours a week like in games like WoW. Yet it's reported that some people have still clocked thousands of hours in the game despite that fact, which really says something amazing about the game.
