Let's face it, playing your console games on a computer is nothing short of cool. What say you to racing through a polygonal city in Wip3Out, fending off dozens of droids in Episode 1, netting monkeys in Ape Escape, or even jumping through a few levels of Crash Bandicoot, all with superior graphics and fps? Heck, if you're really smart you could set up a LAN party over a virtual multitap.

Anyway, enough of my Playstation fanboyism. Discuss!

          *points to the rules*

Anyway, I've been thinking about taking my copy of Melee and puting onto my PC to run in Dolphin. A GC emulator for windows.

On a side note, my friend pretty much completely hacked Jedi Academy for the PC. There's a **** load of stuff you can change, and even create to run in the game. It's freaking crazy.

The rules forbid discussion of ROMS, not the legal running of data from the game disc. Though I don't mind the occassional round of N64 Smash...

              Hmm. Alright.

Well off the topic, there is a way to make GCNs online. I'll find the link cause it's interesting.
And I didn't know you could do that...

              Edit: Yo.

I read about that somewhere. Something about PSO having a backdoor or something that lets you run stuff in it....or something. I read more about it from somewhere else, but I have no clue where I found it. Possibly wikipedia, but I don't know.

And I'm not sure you really can, but since it's an optical disk, and it can fit in a CD drive on a PC, I assume that it's possible to copy the data, find the .bat file or whatever it is that you need to run it, and play it in Dolphin. I assume it's possible, but I have no clue if it's ever been done before. Though I wouldn't be surprised.

What, run games off the disc? Of course.

Playing console game's on a computer isn't that good. That's why I bought flashcarts for my DS, make's it more real.

I remember about a year ago I discussed emulators and ROMs at GSSF and MD was really evil about it. TOO evil. He deleted my posts and warned me.

Anyhow, anyone know where there is a good, working DS Emulator on the net? I'm not planning on playing games on it, but one of my friends is.

I hear the DeSmuME is good, but I'd rather buy the games if I don't have them, or play them on my DS if I do. I only use Visual Boy for sprite ripping purpouses.

Yeah, I prefer to buy games as well. The only real exception for me is the Bit Generations series, which I would kill for on my GBA, but was only sold in Japan.

Does he want it on the PC, or on the DS? If DS, then tell him to check out SuperCard.

And I know a great DS rom site. It has like every game released on DS. Even Phantom Hourglass ( In japanese though)

Just ask if you need it.

There you go. It's what I use for my supercard. It is direct NDS files, so the emulator might have specific file specifications, but I dont think it should have problems.

Aqua, NO$GBA started out as a GBA emulator, but it was expanded to accomodate the DS. For the record, DS emulators are still quite incomplete, nowhere near as perfect as VBA.

Buy supercard. It's a flash card for the DS, and i've never had any problems with it, apart from 2-3 times it's frozen in the middle of the game, but i've had it a month and a bit now, so that's not much. Get it noooooow!

Why would I get it noooooow when I don't even have a DS and I doubt I'm ever going to own one?
