Camelot Returns To Console Gaming the first step on a long journey.

Camelot is known as the developer behind some of gaming's most critically acclaimed hits, including the original Hot Shots Golf, the Mario Golf series, and RPGs like the Shining Series and Golden Sun. So fan disappointment late last year when the small developer announced plans to focus its efforts on an online PC golf game was understandable.
We're not sure what happened to the online golf game, but Camelot is back in console gaming! First revealed in this week's Famitsu, the company is working on a new Wii golf game called We Love Golf. The game is set to be published in Japan through Capcom.

So Camelot is back for console games, and this golf game is exclusive for Wii. It's good news, because we at least know that Camelot hasn't severed ties with Nintendo, as was assumed last year when it was working on that golf game for PC (what is with Camelot and golf games anyway?)
That said, the chances of GS3 just became - very slightly - increased. More info about We Love Golf (and possibly more...) will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show in late September.

I think this is great news. If you ask me the chances for a GS3 have increased more than slightly. As GL said, we now know that Camelot hasn't severed ties with Ninty, so it doesn't matter who owns the rights to Golden Sun; Camelot could start making GS3 at any time they wanted.
But srsly, what IS with Camelot and golf games? They're better at making RPG's and I'm pretty sure a RPG game would sell better than some golfing game.

I have to admit that I had a lot of fun with the GBA Mario Golf game by Camelot. But still, I don't like that they're taking Camelot in this "sports" direction. They need to get back to what they do best, and that is RPGs. The Wii has too many sports/mini-game titles already, what it needs is solid action/adventure franchises.

Great news! However a Gs3 still feels... Very unlikely to me. Unless they're gonna develop it right away, otherwise it'll perhaps take 4/5 years untill we're finally gonna see a Camelot RPG of some sorts.

HOLY CRAP! TRIPPLE POST!!
I haven't seen one of those since I joined the forums!
Anyway, I pretty much dislike any kind of sports game. The exception is the mario sports series thing, which is okay IMO, probably because it's not all serious 'n stuff like the Madden series, or any of those other sports games.

Anyone has any form of proof which shows that GS/TLA performed better (in reviews and especially sales)?

Make the damn 3rd game. There is a severe lack of RPGs on DS. I only have Pokemon, Magical Starsign, and Children of Mana to play. Castlevania is hardly an RPG. FF III is impossible, and dont start with Lunar Knights.

Everyone keeps saying here at GSSF that the Golden Sun games performed very well, but I don't think they did. Well, the reviews were very impressive, but I don't think the games sold all that well. I think I saw their sales somewhere long ago... And although Golden Sun was the best selling GBA RPG game after all the Pokemon games, it still wasn't such a big number. Still, you can never believe these sales charts for games you see online.

I've met like 5 people in my school who've played the game, and I'm sure there's more I haven't met/haven't mention GS to who might've played. And I don't waste my time talking to many people.
So considering RPGs aren't really mainstream games, particularly on the GBA, that's not bad.
The games sold well. Get it in your heads.
