Why do the leaders of multi-billion dollar crime syndicates give up on their endeavors because a small child beat them in a pokemon match?
Why is the greatness of the Chocobo always eluded to, and the fact that they are feared by monsters extolled, but they suck in combat?
Why does the plasma sword allow you to teleport through walls and leap across the stage like a mutant tree kangaroo on crack?

So, in classic fine-print format:
*Any resemblence borne of these fictional characters to any actual persons or animals is purely coincidental and was not an intended reference from the material discussed.

Why is it that evil villians think reviving an anicent power that almost destroyed the world is a good thing? Take for example, Cyrus from Pokemon D/P trying to revive Dialga/Palika.

How can Taki, who wields two little knives, defeat Astaroth who uses a gigantic axe?
How can Samus transform into a minuscule ball?
Why is Mitsurugi the representative of the Soul Calibur franchise when he is completely irrelevant to the main story?

1. How do you know that Peach loves Mario?
2. By stabbing him. You're an FE fan, you should know that swords>axes
3. Technology
4. Because Samurai's are awesome.

1. Let me rephrase that. Why would a princess of an entire kingdom be screwing around with a lowly plumber?
2. I said she had two little knives, not swords.
3. In Metroid Prime when you scan a computer you see that the Space Pirates have attempted to create their own Morph Balls but that they all suffered from broken bones. They simply couldn't do it, even with their technology.
4. Pirates are awesome too. Why isn't Cervantes the representative then? Ninjas are cool too, so why isn't Taki the representative? Death knights also rule, so why isn't it Nightmare?

1. good point
2. Assassins > Bandits
3. Well their technology sucks, why else would Samus be able to wipe out hordes while they have trouble killing one of her. And they're also stupid. They have plasma/wave/ice beam doors in their bases, yet they cant open them because they dont have the right gun. Who does that? " I'm going to build a house, and build a door that I dont have a key for!"
4. Because Cervantes is unlockable, everybody would think Taki is just for sex appeal, and Nightmare is the main character.

How does a group of people possibly bring down a stone fortress with swords and lances in Chronicles of the Sword (soul calibur 3) ????

Why are RPGs heroes either amnesic, on a quest to avenge their murdered family or some kind of outcast?
Why do revives work on party members but not characters who die as part of the story?
Why do EA keep releasing games!?
WHY THE HELL DID SONY REMOVE MEMORY CARD HOLDERS FROM PS2 CASES!?

1. Because she's horny and Mario does anything she says.
2. In FE, knives are classified as swords. Therefore, knives ARE swords.
3. Because Samus's suit was dezigned by the Chozo who's technology is ass-loads ahead of the space pirate's tech.
4. Because Cervantes is secretly ghey, Taki's boobs are too big to be taken seriously, and Nightmare is the main character.
SO HAH!

2. Yeah um... No. I'm not talking about the five-years-old FE games, I'm talking about the newest ones. Knives are classified as knives in the latest games.
3. Guess that must be the reason.
4. Nightmare is the main character. Exactly! So why isn't he the representative. Oh, and basically it's Siegfried who is the main character, not Nightmare, but you can count him too.

Something I've never understood is how pokemon are supposed to fit in those little balls. The cartoon gives the answer that they all turn into red laser beams and get pulled in, but that's just ridiculous.
I guess you could argue that the whole pokemon concept is ridiculous as well though. ;)

One thing that has always bothered me is that Pokemon is almost exactly like kockfighting and dogfighting. You catch em, you train em, and then you make em fight each other.

It's still basically animal cruelty. I wouldn't say it promotes it, but still. You catch a wild animal and you keep it for a lifetime of servitude and cruel fighting as entertainment. ;)

Anyhow, about the Pokemon thing... I already said a couple of times before that the world of Pokemon would be chock full of anti-Pokemon-battle protests and organizations that fight for the right for Pokemon to be free.
Here's something else about Pokemon: Why do the Pokemon even put up with humans? Some of them are smarter than people, and ALL of them are stronger, so why don't they just kill all teh humans in teh world and take control.

And that something useful is useful only in one place in the entire game and it gets you something that you really don't need, right.

Similar to what Caael said, why don't the shop keepers give them to you for free?

And the item you get is an empty bottle. A BOTTLE! You could have just grabbed one in any house you've been in!

My theory is that monsters are a lot like pinatas. They eat gold for some reason, (probably due to the maniacal greed they get from being so inexplicably evil.) and then it all flies out when you smash them open with your +2 Daedric Holy Knife of Cutting. Don't ask me how you smash things with a knife, apparently, it happens.
