Cars Not the pixar film

I've recently become obsessed with cars, and i've got a few favourites. I'm into Aston Martin and V8 vantage is a saweet car. Unfortunately, it's like a dumb blonde. It looks awesome, but it doesn't really have much else. The Jaguar XK is...wow. It's just an awesome car, everybody should have one. Voted Top Gear's car of the year, it's just such a good looking car.
So yeah, discuss. I know Toasty will like this topic.

I'm not really into, or interested in the horse power, and what not biz... but if a car looks good... *jaw opens*
If you love cars, I really suggest becoming a regular reader of http://www.autoblog.com/. I visit there, but not religiously.

And yes, this is my new semi-favorite topic.
Yeah....don't own a car, but I want a Koenigsegg CCX. Or a Bugatti EB, but the CCX is about $1.25 million cheaper. :P

But I can get one. I've started a car savings account that already has 2 grand in there, and I started earlier this year.
Top Gear is a great programme though. Hah, the Smart Car is in the seriously Uncool, and my dad has a lime green one.
Continental GT's are pretty cool as well. I love Bentleys in general, they're just all so awesome.
Ferrari's are slick as well. If I was to pick one, it would be the 360 Modena.

And the CCX get's something around 1150HP AND can run on a special blend of ethanol (which gives the 1150HP rateing) so there ihk. :P don't remember the stats though.
But supposedly, when launched under perfect conditions, the EB gets so much tourque and acceleration that it can nearly knock you out.
And laharl, you may never be able to obtain a car as expensive as the EB, but the reason for drooling (at least for me) is either the sheer awesomeness of the car's style/design, or the sheer speed and power that it has. I mean, name one other car, that when it's got stock parts, gets 1000+ HP and/or can rocket from 0-60 in 2.5 seconds? Nearly knocking you out? It takes some crazy-ass power to do that, and that's what amazes me and causes drool to come pouring out of my mouth.

Don't want it, and I'm not lieing. Never really liked Jaguars much. I've only liked two Aston Martins. I've liked pretty much every Ferarri, and almost every Laamborghini. The older ones weren't my favorites. Liked the countache though.
As for jet cars, there's been quite a few. I think the fastest yet went 768mph. They say that the Bugatti EB sounds like a jet though. I wouldn't be surprised if it was that loud, but I doubt it sounds like a jet. Even with all 1000 some odd horses at full bore.
But according to Mythbusters, you can beat a speed camera (American) at 250mph. You can beat one in the UK at 180. The slower speed because in the UK, they have to get two snapshots for it to count.

I quite like the Alfa 159 saloon. With 18" 7 hole design alloy wheels, you have a sick car right there.

Well anyway, there's a new "Fastest Production Car" on the block. It's called the Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo, and it's made Shelby Supercars (SSC) It's top speed is 255.83mph (257.11 in one direction, 254.55 on the return). The one thig that really sucks about it though, is that the speed test was done HERE IN WASHINGTON STATE. And I wasn't there! *cries* ;_;

The monkeys love the parts inside a car, and dont give a crap how bad the car looks or feels, they just modify or change the parts to make it run better.
The lovers are fans of the looks and the inside, how much space, how shiny it is, the kind of tires and the suspension.

@ ihk: I'm the same way. I like cars for their looks, but also for their guts. I'd take a 450hp beat up muscle car over an italian sports car with only 100hp though. But of course, I'd much rather have a super car like a Bugatti EB or Lamboghini Murcielago Superleggaera (sp?).

I've got Car and Driver, and Road and Track. I've lost most interest in AEI. It's too boring.

Though I probably won't get one due to the reliablity issues (which eventually will make me spend just as much as I would for a 911).
Possibly an import tuner. Not brand new obviously, but an older Acura if I can find one for a decent price. We had one for the first few years we lived here, and they're pretty nice. Don't rememebr the model though.
