Six Years

Six years after its launch, the number of fan sites has dwindled to a handful, and the fan community has mostly dissipated. Although the demand and audience for another game in the series has been clearly demonstrated, Camelot has been unable or unwilling to deliver. Although there will always be hope, most of the community has accepted the reality that we will not be seeing another Golden Sun game in the near future.
On this anniversary of the game's release, I wanted to express my gratitude to all of you who continue to visit this and other Golden Sun fan websites. I never would have imagined that this site would survive this long, and I am committed to keeping this website operational as long as people visit.
By the end of this month, this website will be reborn for the final time, as an archival repository of information about the Golden Sun series for the aid of anyone who may yet discover the series. In lieu of another official game, our own fan game, Golden Sun World, will be developed for the enjoyment of everyone who loved Golden Sun. Between GSW and the survival of our forums, we can continue to show Nintendo and Camelot that we await the day when we can revisit the world of Weyard.

Many here are of different religion, sex, race and ethnicity undoubtly but there is one thing that brought us together - Golden Sun. Thank you Camelot for creating such an experience that surely will be ingrained in me forever.
Again, I'll like to thank you Max for an awesome website and forum. Without you I wouldn't have meet many awesome people from different countries and races. You are one of my internet heroes that I can proudly salute with respect.

But's not just that. It's the people on here, past and present, who've kept me here. Sure we disagree occasionally, but overall the people on here are some of the best I've seen anywhere.

So screw this topic, and go post in my birthday thread.
Oh, and happy sixth birthday, world's biggest Nintendo terrorist organization.

Yeah.....I owe stuff too. I wouldn't have gotten interested in web design if I hadn't joined, and that in turn got me interested in programming. Something that I need to make one of my ideas a reality.

Let's hope that we don't have to wait six more years before we get another Golden Sun game or any news on Golden Sun for that matter.

That said, my hopes were raised a bit when I found out about that interview with Camelot at Game Informer. Let's hope that the Takahashi brothers actually intend to deliver a third installment of Golden Sun.
