I don't talk a lot most of the time, so you probably won't notice me around too much. In my spare time I like to do game programming, and sometimes 3D modeling. I'm always glad to take request for 3D models since I can never decide what to do on my own >_<
Here's some stuff I've made
Zelda: Just Beginning, theres a demo out. You'll probably want to go into the options by hitting F1 to increase the window size right away. Controls are fully customizable too, and it's joypad compatible.

This Axe was designed by Ryu-Gi on DeviantART, I made the model & textured it.

This image is kinda interesting. I've been screwing around with programming a Golden Sun battle system, or at least the graphical aspect of it. I haven't decided if I'm going to do a full Golden Sun fan-game or not yet though. My main problem if I did is that I'd probably need someone to design it for me.

Anyway... Nice to meet you all. Like I said, I'd be glad to take requests for 3D models, I actually don't have any Golden Sun related ones right now.

I would like to do a Golden Sun one. It's hard to find the motivation and support when no one else at Kousou Games has even heard of Golden Sun :P That and Golden Sun games rely heavily on their stories, and I'm a terrible story writer.
Earth Dude, nice to meet you. Thanks, I'd be glad to do something for you some time.

Programming Language... From what I could gather my best guess is it's being made in Flash, which I can only barely animate with.
EDIT: >_< I wasn't ignoring your post Golden Legacy, it just wasn't there before I started replying. Thanks, and I will try.

>_< I've been looking in the wrong places to find out what he's making it with, he clearly said it was Flash in his latest updates. Too bad I know absolutely nothing about how to use Action Script.
I'd some-what prefer to start my own project from scratch anyway, either way I could most likely manage some sprite ripping.

I believe it's in Java. However, Max knows flash as well. I tried learning C++ once myself, but I got caught up in other things and never really got into it. I'm more interested in hardware than software anyway. But I know some HTML and all that web based stuff that's far simpler, but I never learned php....
Well anyway, welcome, and post your stuff in the Art section. It's pretty good.
[EDIT] And congradulations on being the 1200th member. You win the intranets. :)

Heh, I'm the 1200th member exactly, nice, hadn't noticed that before, Dude of Wind. I've been trying to learn C++ too, but I always seem to get distracted with other things for months and end up forgetting everything >_<

I remember him saying that he was taking a class in Flash, and that he hoped that it wouldn't interfere with the coding of the game, so I'm pretty sure it's not Flash. I'll have to do some diggin to be sure though.

In addition, Adobe has launched the first public alpha version of its Apollo program. Apollo will ultimately allow GSW to be used on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. Previously, GSW was a Windows-only program. With the rising prominence of both Mac and Linux computers, this is a perfect opportunity to spread GSW's reach to all three of the major operating systems.

Hah, Java maybe, but C++? Actionscript runs through a virtual machine program, which itself was probably coded in C++. Still though, I'll probably check it out to see how it compares to what I'm currently using. Cross-platform compatibility, and being able to easily include quality animations in games may be worth the trade-offs.

Just to answer the question raised in this thread, Golden Sun World is written in Actionscript 3.0 on the clientside, and Java (and possibly some Python) on the server side. Atrius, I'll send you a PM in a moment with some more information if you are interested.

Hello, Max, thanks again for the reading material on AS 3. It's definitely different from what I've been using, but the syntax is nearly identical.
