1) Watching movies, playing games, and listening music and sometimes Chess.
2) Hanging out with friends.
3) Reading (novels, current affairs (mostly politics and earth science stuff). HATE reading text books. I only do it because I have to)
4) Internet. My favourite hobby actually. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Sometimes I think I suffer from the new disorder called "Front page disorder" or something along that line.
5) I RARELY play sports. If I do it's only cricket or soccer.

I also tend to just sit on a couch with a friend and have a stupid idea, the friend says: "let's do that"
And then well, realise the stupid idea.

Video Games (of course)
Nature (I love to walk around a lake or sit on grass and stare at the clouds passing by... cheesy, I know, but it's peaceful and enjoyable)
Ballroom Dancing, Swing Dancing
Ultimate Frisbee
Anime (not a huge follower, but I still keep up with Bleach/Naruto/Avatar: The Last Airbender)
the occasional jog or game of football (soccer for the Americans)
Reading/watching the news (and international news at that, I hate the American media... I even have the BBC ticker that loads when my computer starts up, that's how much I love it)
teaching myself a new skill (as silly as it sounds, this is something I really enjoy doing - it could be anything from teaching myself a new language [i.e. the time I tried teaching myself a bit of Serbian] to computer skills [self-taught HTML, I'm starting to teach myself to use Photoshop now)

It isn't surprising when 30 minutes of CNN HEADLINE News is this. BBC on the other hand, non-biased, and only gives facts. I recommend everyone to switch xD.

Video games
Hanging out, drinking and doing stuff with friends
Parties
Working out
Practicing with my staff and nunchuk
Table Tennis
Just talking about stuff with my brother
Reading(not all that often though)
A bit of internet
Going to the theater
Don't really have a lot of time for hobbies. Getting ready for faculty and my future job(s) takes up most of my time now.

1) Obviously videogames, though I play them less than I used to. I still get enjoyment out of playing them, but I can't play more than 2 hours straight anymore unless the game really gets me (last happened to Zelda Phantom Hourglass) or something competive (Smash Bros., Diddy Kong Racing DS, Pokémon ect.).
2) Music. Especially fond of Reggae music. Couldn't survive without my iPod, I always have it on at school even in the classes.
3) Hanging out with friends. Obviously. Just chilling somewhere with a drink with a few classmates or friends is really good for killing some time, makes the schooldays bareable especially with this cold weather.
4) Going out. Think of going to the club or bar with collegues or friends. Though I do not go out that much in this time of the year, there where times in the summer I went 3 times in the week. When you get into the mood and have good people encompanying you it's deffinatly one of my favorite 'hobbies'. Still... the best clubs are for 18+ around here there are less 14 year old sluts and wangstas there.
5) Taking a walk. When the weather is nice, I always love to go out for a walk at Sunday with a good friend of mines. Most likely we both have a morning headache from the day before. That walk especially does wonders for me. Time flies by and we both only talk bull**** but it's still enjoyable.
6) Working out. Nothing specialy, yet. I had this fitness sport clinic at school a couple of months back and ever since I'm training at home too. I'm planning on working out in a real fitness centre in Januari when I've got more time.
7) Working. I easily have one of the ****tiest jobs you can imagine but I still love to go to work everytime. I work in a supermarket as a plain sheft filler but I made couple of good friends there making it all much more enjoyable to work. It especially is nice after closing time when all those daymn customers are gone.
8) Dunno if I should put it here or not but... smoking pot. Yeah I know it's bad and all, but it gives you a different view on many simple things and it's just fun. But it's the only drug I do, and I don't plan on using other drugs than weed. I drink a LOT less since I started smoking so it's still good in a way.

Anyway, I'm just arguing for marijuana, nothing else here x.x
I'm personally against consumption of marijuana, but I believe it should be legal. Of course we will have laws restricting minors the use like tobacco and alcohol laws, but the war on drugs cost governments so much money and they're losing the war x.x
The things you just listed is the usual excuse, but
1) Untrue. The overuse of marijuana is bad (applies with everything). Medical marijuana saves so many lives, and the UN prohibits the research of it. With proper scientific research marijuana is possibly the cure and treatment for many diseases ;_;
2) Untrue. Most crime occur when trying to get marijuana, and the likes. If we eliminiate the black market, crime will drop because it'll be readibly available to anyone who wants it ;_;
3) Don't understand o.O

1) Yes, for MEDICINAL purposes. Medicine is only useful if taken for the intended purpose; if you abuse it for fun, you can do serious harm to yourself, or others.
2) Marijuana puts people out of mind. You know as well as I do that there have been endless cases of crimes commited under the influence of a drug, including murder. Who knows how many more people could be running around doing crazy things if it were legalised.
3) Which point?

Have you even seen someone under the influence of marijuana? My goodness, someone under the influence of marijuna would be the prey rather than the predator. Please stop the generalization :P
3) "because it's been hardwired into them"
1) Yeah, like it's possible to abuse a stress ball or talking to somebody.
2) Even then, they'd be putting themselves in a vulnerable position. And if you're doing drugs, you're probably not going to be in the most cheery of places.
3) Because society tells them not to.

personally i think marijuana needs a different set of rules from other drugs because it is different. if we were talking about ecstacy or something then yeah that's way different

I do spend most of my free time in college around my friends though. Love them actually. But I do not need my friends to watch a movie, play a game, go to some event, go to the beach, go to the park, etc. I welcome their company, but if they're not in the mood to do it, I do it still.

Writing: I have now two fanfics going, one of my own, and a coauthored one. I also just like to write random stories, anything that really pops into my head. I find that writing is my way of getting my personality out for people to see. When I write, I can sort of plan what I'm going to say, use the backspace before I enter, in contrast to when I speak, I say things without thinking, and it doesn't come out right. Writing is like my anti-drug, anti-depressant, and one of the things that I'm best at. Heck, I got 96 percentile of all Juniors on the PSAT in writing.
Drawing: now that's pretty obvious, but I like it for many reasons. One, it gives me a chance to get my creativity on paper and challenge myself. It's something I know that I will always improve on, because I'll never be perfect. Leonardo DaVinci wasn't a perfect artist, neither was Monet. There's no such thing as the perfect piece of artwork, just something close to it. I love challenges, but I also like doing things I know that I have some talent in.
Guitar: so I pretty much suck at it, because I'm a beginner, but I really like to play, because I find that it calms me. I play acoustic, and I think it's such a beautiful instrument. My dad used to play, so I use his old guitar. I find it funny that one of my favorite names is Aria, and then I found out that's the model name of his guitar.
Sewing: still an amateur, but I'm learning. I got an embroidery machine for christmas, and my mom has digitizing software so you can take any jpeg, bmp, png and turn it into an embroidery pattern. I just embroidered protoman's crest a few hours ago :3 I like having hobbies that can be useful.
Running: okay, so I run on an elliptical machine, but it's sort of the same thing for me. I get such a rush, and it's like being on a natural high. Plus, it lets me think and get a good exercise at the same time. I find that I end up listening to the music and think about ideas for my stories while running, and before I know it, the time's up, but I always want to keep going.
Rock Climbing: I don't get out a lot to do this, but I hope I'll be able to for my birthday. I love rock climbing 'cause it's such a challenge. My favorite thing in life is to have a challenge and overcome it. Then you can revel in the glory, and when it comes to rock climbing, the scenery at the top of the mountain is always gorgeous. It's a beautiful reward.

As of current, my favourite hobby is gaming with friends. Nothing beats smacking a mates face into the floor in halo, or working together to take the bomb into the base and guard it.
