    Alright, so I was thumbing through what Viz media has to offer, and I came across a little section for a manga series called S.A. or Special A.

    The artwork may not be top notch, but the story line is adorable. The story circles around a group of top 12 elite students called the Special A, or S.A. for short. Hikari, #2, is the main female character (the girl with black hair) who's determined to beat her rival, Kei, who is #1 (The guy next to her). Unlike the rest of SA, Hikari comes from a simple family, being the daughter of a carpenter. She'll do anything, challenge Kei in any way she can to beat him, yet she always comes up short. Kei can easilly irritate her by calling her "number two", but being as dense as she is, she doesn't realize that Kei is in love with her. He admires because, unlike him and the rest of Special A, she doesn't have a photographic memory, and she has to work harder than the rest, yet she's made it up so far.

    I've totally fallen in love with the series, but unfortunately, being so unknown, it's hard to find fellow fans. The series is supposed to be turned into an anime this spring, so hopefully that will boost it's popularity.


    Side note: I love it 'cause it's my goal as well to rank #1 of my class, so I can kinda relate ^-^

      sounds a bit cliche but i'll give it a go, i've noticed it seems to be a lot harder to **** up manga than it is anime.

      OH NOES!!! its Shojou, that could be bad....

          Lawl! I love that book! I just bought it in Borders a while back.

          So Icy who is your favorite Character besides Hikari or Kei?

            Hmm... I like megumi 'cause she's so strange for always writing things down. Tadashi is hilarious, kinda like a big oaf. Akira's pretty cool too, I find it funny that she's obsessed with tea time XD

              I like Megumi's brother because even though he is the son of a music CEO he has no musical telent what so ever. XD;
              Akira is my favorite cause she is bossy and cruel~<3
              Tadashi is <3. Did you read the extras where he found out that he was made to be abused? XD

                I must have not caught that about Jun. Haha, that's why Tadashi was scared when Megumi was saying that Jun had taken up Violin XD

                    the anime of this starts this week in Japan, might be worth a look
