This is probably the best PS3 exclusive to date. That's not saying much, but with that said it's actually a really good game.

It's a lot like the Tomb Raider games but better. (sorry Lara. Call me? :() The firefights are bit like Gears of War in that you need to use cover a lot. As you take damage, you have to hide behind something to heal again, a bit like COD4 and GoW, or else you're dead.

The voice acting's pretty good most of the time. The game sounds fine but the music's not too special, and the graphics are pretty great. (explosions and smoke look funny though, maybe I'm spoiled by Crysis) The thing is that it's a little strange that you have one extremely linear path while you're walking through a jungle. There are dense trees at the sides of your "path" and it's a little funny that you can't go through or between them and that you're blocked by what seems like an invisible wall. It might have been nice to have two different paths to get to an objective.

But this really is a good game, Lara Croft has some competition that'll take more than boobs to beat. :) Any PS3 owners (Skidzors) should download the demo off of the PlayStation Store. The full game is better than the demo, but it gives you a feel of the combat.

I actually thought this was LOST when I first saw the trailer. Funny.

I probably wont ever get a PS3 because my 360 is just fine, but this game looks awesome. It's like tomb raider with a better story. Unlikely, but if it came to 360, I would definitley buy it.

played the start of this, its a bit meh, the combat seemed clunky to me, as in you'd do a punch combo on someone and still get shot to **** by their mates. Graphics really arent impressive for this generation, maybe it'll pick up?

Well, that's kind of your own fault for jumping out of cover to punch one guy when he's backed by the others.

I am confuzzled then. If it was the first level when you're on the boat then just ignore it. :( If it was the time when it teaches you the brutal combo, there's only one guy there.

Tip, don't use the fast-furious combo. Brutal combo is so much more efficient.

i neither have the required console nor game, played it at a friend's.

does look pretty decent and it is automatically better than Tomb Raider on the grounds there is more to it than popularity with 15 year olds with holes in their pockets

It's not an awesome game, but it is fun. It has a nice story and the animation (not to be confused with graphics) is some of the best I've seen in a game. Even though Drake does some impossible acrobatics he seems extremely delicate and fallible at the same time. He winces when bullets get to close, he'll stumble a bit if he jumps onto some stairs, and so on.

Not a lot else to say about that. So far I'd say the only game really worthy of being called "next-gen" or current gen or whatever the hell is Crysis...

                        exactly how i'd describe it

didnt pay much attention to the animation, too busy with "MY BOAT IS ON FIRE!!!!" XD

A good purchase for that silly breed known as the PS3 owner

Haven't watched it just yet, but my friend told me he gave the game a lot of ****.
