Eh, I think it goes back to a nickname thing where we were discussing nicknames, and I told people that my nickname is Icy. Then I guess people from here began to use it on MSN, and then on the forums, and pretty soon, it kinda became my new name. Or at least I think that's how it happened. <_< Gosh, that was so long ago...

Topics that are no longer viewable in the common room are not deleted, they are just not viewable without searching them first. The oldest "Spam Forum" topics are harder to find though, because we need to go through the posts of who posted in the topic and find it that way.

And the conclusion that Sot and I have come up with is that this topic is permanently deleted. It's a bit unusual - most of the other topics from the era seem to be preserved (though some are dead links), and we've found countless of posts making reference to the topic and talking about it - but we can't actually find it itself.

There was a topic created by a member that paired up members of GSSF as 'couples', now from what I gather some of these 'couples' had dated online so it wasn't recieved very well.

It's kind of hard to explain. For one thing, people don't like being paired up with other people, *** couple or otherwise, because it's just awkward. And for another thing, online dating SUCKS.

I was "paired" up with kiku by like every member in GSSF. Whee. She net dated Ravenblade. Icy dated FGX. It's all bull**** and stupid.

OR, you could talk to them via webcam and telephone, make plans to be with each other some day, and just hold on until then. If you're really in love, it most likely works out unless other circumstances arise. In my case it was that my parents didn't approve of him and we both wanted to go to colleges where we lived. It was for the best.

But I believe it can work out, and I know a girl on another forum who met someone who lived in egypt and net-dated for a while, and now they're engaged. It can work, but for the most part, the couples topic is really just for fun flirting or the beginnings of a serious relationship.
