Apart from the Harry Potter series, I have to say John Grisham books are fantastic. Currently I'm reading "The Rainmaker" from him. His writing is one of the best, or if not, the best I have seen.

It's really surprising that I adore John Grisham books:
      1) I'm not into 'law' in real life, so I'm surprised I love this genre. Series such as LoTR, Harry Potter, Star Wars, His Dark Materials, Inheritance cycle and Net Force to name a few captures the 'genre' I love, i.e. Fantasy/Sci Fi.
      2) His books really lack suspense imo. Dan Brown beats anyone in suspense (Angels and Demons is the perfect example. Pure brilliance. Though Dan Brown books overall plot is very predictable now), yet somehow he writes in a way that makes the current atmosphere appealing, and you have to continue.
      3) I haven't read all his books, but besides the main character, I hardly create 'bonds' with the characters. Same can be said for Tom Clancy's books, except the "Jack Ryan" series. The Jack Ryan series was brilliant.

With that said, I regurgitate I am really surprised I love John Grisham books. The plots in all his legal drama books are similar, yet there is something magical that keeps me interested in his books. I honestly cannot say why I love his books, but I can say that his writing is fantastic, and you'll be captivated by John Grisham and his excellence once you have read one of his books.

I recommend starting with "The Last Juror"; I re-read this book twice, while waiting for other books. I cannot wait for summer, to continue my summer reading and dive into John Grisham's world again.

Overall, I do not reread books. There are too many.

I used to reread books more when I was younger. It was usually stuff like the Edge Chronicles or Artemis Fowl.

Dont really read much at the moment, used to read loads of fantasy stuff but I grew out of it. I'll rarely be reading a book, let alone an un-putdownable one. Rainbow 6 is good.

I was addicted to the Harry Potter books. I read them in a day because I couldn't put them down, but I never went back to them after I was done.

I couldn't put down The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. They were so addicting, and had such an intricate, twisted, exciting plot. I highly recommend them.

I have read Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire about 4-5 times. Best book of the series IMO, though Queen Of The Damned was fairly good.

One of my favorites is a book called Joust, by Mercedes Lackey. Its a great book that tells the coming of age story of a kid who is a slave that yerns for freedom. I've read the book so many times now that I have had to tape the spine to hold it together.

Books that I can't put down are probably only Matthew Reilly. Aside from him I love authors like Lee Child and Harlen Coben.

Recent books I've read that I just couldn't put down are The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseni and The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls. You've probably not heard of the latter, but I can't recommend it enough. It's a memoir of Jeanette Walls' childhood that goes through the most unimaginable experiences imaginable. It's written brilliantly with a style that's easy to absorb but packs a lot of detail and meaning where it needs to - not to mention the story itself shatters what a memoir is and what it can do for a person's growth as a person.

Read it, it'll be worth it.

Ahh, GL you've read The Kite Runner. That was an amazing book. If you liked that, I'd recommend A Thousand Splendid Suns, by the same author, a book that I'm currently reading.

I think its about some kid who gets sent to some kind of summer camp for delinquents and all they do all day is dig holes for the guy that runs the place who is looking for some treasure that is supposedly buried there. am I close?

The thing that pisses me off is the fact that Simpsons is off. This was season 19. Next season is 20, and for season 20, they are bringing back alot of old writers and useing new ones. John Shwartzwalder is coming back, the KING of simpsons writing. Conan O'Brien is gonna help write an episode or two. And now season 20 might be delayed. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

The Ender's Game Trilogy was pretty awesome. Also, I liked the Bartimaeous Trilogy, though it got a tad tiring reading all the footnotes.

His Dark Materials is also really good. Apparently, I'm a trilogy kinda guy.

The Bartimeaus trilogy is one of the best trilogy's I've read. Seriously I have no idea why it isn't more popular.

I'm re-reading The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice, and I can't put it down. I read about 250 pages last night, and plan to finish it tonight. It is the second book in her Vampire Chronicles, and is definetly one of the best. It spans 3 centuries(well, 30 centuries if you count the flashback that Marius tells about), and is storytelling at it's best.

I just picked up The Stand by Stephen King again after dropping it 400 pages in in mid-October. Now, I have about 800 pages to go after I finish my school book, which is 560 pages in itself...

Needless to say, I have reading material for a few months!
