Yeah, it started today last year and went onto the next day. My mate is lucky, his birthday was on the second snow day ( tomorrow)

It was the heavy rainfall. The buildings themselves weren't affected too much, apart from one roof that caved because of the weight of the water, but it was mainly getting into the school, as it's at the bottom of a valley so all the water flows into the school ( well and the surrounding area). The water was actually like 6 inches high

I want a school in a valley!
Mine's surrounded by woods, and has two ponds. Last time it snowed, both ponds froze over and the ducks were skating around on top of the ice. School wasn't canceled because of the snow, but someone did pull a fake fire alarm so we could go play with the ducks on ice.

This freaking sucks. It's 60 degree weather here, yet we had 3 snow days about 3 years ago. We haven't had any snow days for the past two years, and we've had about an inch of snow this whole winter. What happened?

Well, this is Canada, so we get them alot, well, we used to. Lately we have been getting less and less snow. This is the 3rd snow day this school year.

For two of the three snow days I've had, I've had to walk part way to school before someone tells me I can go home. Last time it was some old woman who came out of her house. I just took her word for it and assumed she wasn't lying.
The thing is, they'll only announce it on the radio about a minute after I've gone.
