So even though I'm a Christian, I have about five different sites e-mailing me my daily horoscope :ph34r: I'm obsessed, and I find that the personality traits for my "sign" are almost the identical to who I am.

So what are you? Leo? Virgo? Aries? Sagittarius?

And for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, your astrological sign is determined by the date of your birth. Below is a chart:

Aries : March 21-April 19
Taurus: April 20-May 20
Gemini: May 21-June 21
Cancer: June 22-July 22
Leo: July 23-August 22
Virgo: August 23-September 22
Libra: September 23-October 22
Scorpio: October 23 - November 21
Sagittarius: November 22-December 21
Capricorn: December 22-January 19
Aquarius: January 20-February 18
Pisces: February 19-March 20

According to astrology, different signs have different personalities, as the position of the stars on the day you were born supposedly had an effect on your personality, strengths, weaknesses and such. To find out more about your "sign", this is a good site to go to: www.astrology.com

I'm just curious to see what other people think of astrology. I've talked to some people who say that they're exactly like their sign, while others think they're totally opposite. For me, it's just for fun, but also kinda spooky when I get a horoscope thats really accurate. :lol:

Unfortunately, I find their analysis on me fairly accurate, but then, they are never specific.

You're totally right WD. We are in charge of our destiny. But it never hurts to see what someone else says might happen to us.

Mine are usually about money, which I find amusing since I have none XD Though the thing I find most interesting is that most of the guys I've crushed on were Taurus', and we're supposedly "compatible".

I'm not sure what it says about this, but I've also noticed the people who get on my nerves the most are Gemini. Not saying that you annoy me, Caael. :ph34r:

Something I've noticed is that the horoscopes all sound extreeeemely similar.

Vague example of something I saw a long time ago:

Gemini: Avoid possible confrontation today.
Aquarius: Take a break from your relationships, especially if there is some tensity.
Cancer: It would be in your best interest to avoid social interaction today. Read a book.

Honestly, if you check the horoscopes of the day before, EVERY one will have coem true in soem form. They jsut use generic horoscopes. You could be a Leo, but if youy check the Aieres horoscope, you will notice how it works for you too.

I'm a taurus...Which explains alot. The thing is, they did this study where they gave everyone in the class a horoscope and then asked if it was close to what happened to them that day, and most of the class raised their hands. They then told the class to pass their horoscopes to the person behind them and they realized every horoscope was the same. So they're pretty vague, which is unfortunate, because otherwise it would be creepy o.O

It would be cool to know the compatibility of the different signs tho...is that on the link? I'm so very lazy

I'm Leo as well and I actually DO believe in astrology! Okay, I agree with most of y'all, day horoscopes are ****in' bull **** but if you go deeper in this (like I do) you'll soon realise that it's no bull **** at all!

First of all, your not just Leo, Gemini or Libra. Everyone has a Sun, and a Moon sign. The sign your all talking about is your Sun sign which is 'given' to you cause of the position of the sun at the time you where born. The position of the moon differs like... each hour, dunno for sure and thus people who are both say Leo and born at the same day can be completely different persons! That, and your Ascedant and the 12 Houses are also important if you want to analyse your personality via astrology the best. And that, can freely be done at www.astro.com though you will need to know exactly when and where (for the position of the planets at that place) you where born.

Anyways, I think astrology is quite fun! This might actually also quite fun for you guys to look at. It's the chinese astrology, here you can check what your Chinese sign is and get another description of your personality.

Astrology rocks! Totally worth checking out if you don't have anything else to do, which quite frankly is the reason y'all log in here eh..? :P

And Diddy, I've looked into that, and when you get to nail it down by the minute, it gets really creepily accurate for me. For example, it said that I'm normally calm, but my emotions and values are constantly changing, while my goals remain the same. It also says that I have a strong sense for drawing and music, while I'll most likely pursue a career in one of the "top three" (doctor, lawyer, shrink). And THEN it got even creepier when it said I'm quite fickle when it comes to relationships and I get really antsy during the first few months, but once I find someone that fits me completely, I'll be satisfied.

And when I got done reading that, I was like "whoa there." I felt like someone had been stalking me and then wrote that :P

So far as I know, everyone who has looked up at astro.com's free personal portrait says that it's very accurate, some even wouldn't let me see their profiles. :joy:

The reason why these signs may appear to be general to you, if cause your 'sign' is only your Sun sign, which as I explained earlier is dependant of the position of the Sun at the time you where born. You also have your Moon sign, which is almost just as important as your Sun sign and your Ascedant which explains you how people view you from the first impression and stuff. I'm not a real expert at these things either, but it's all pretty easy to find out. This site's free reports are very accurate, and even though there are some strange terms in it like... Sun Square Mars (which is one of my thingies) just Google it and there you have your explanation of what that means.

The time when you where born is the most important thing in horoscopes. Your place of birth is also very important, cause both are needed to calcuate the positions of the planets at the time you where born which would decide your personality. All I have to say is that I think it's extremly accurate, it's up to YOU if you believe it or not.

Icy, the reason why Capprions match well with Tauruses is cause they're both from the same element (ehehe actually reminds me of Golden Sun) Earth. Virgo is also a earth sign, while Aries, Leo and Sagittarius are fire signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are air signs and Cancer, Scorpius and Pisces are water signs.

Also, I said it before but I think it's also interesting for you guys to look at the Chinese Zodiac which is more like, the astrology for noobies. :P

Alright well let me explain it to you then.

First thing you have to know is exactly at what time and at what place you where born. Otherwise, you can't fill in the form.

If you already know, you should go to astro.com. When your there click on Astrodienst Services then Free Reports, or just click this. Now you'll see the free services of the site.

Probably the best thing for most of you is to make a free report for Childeren and Young People. When your there, you'll most likely have to create a new person I don't know for sure, cause I'm always logged into the site, but if you can't find anything like that, try going here (it's the url to the Birth Data Entry) and fill in your data.
