Mkay. So I like to stay passive, and since there's really no changing peoples mind, I'm going to abuse my american right to freedom of speech, just like everyone else does :]
Bush seriously kicked ass, and the only reason people didn't like him, was because the people who didn't vote for him didn't have the balls to own up and face that he IS (soon to be WAS, sadly) one of the greatest and most proactive presidents in the last few decades. They also don't like him because he wants to stick up for morals. OH BOO FRICKIN HOO. No, you CAN'T get an abortion, 'cause it's f*cking WRONG. And YES, we are going into Iraq and Iran to look for WMDs because we got 5000 some odd leads that there were WMDS there! Would you rather sit back be a bad president and watch your country get BLOWN TO F*CKING PIECES? And if you went there, and saw all the suffering in the countries, would you just be cruel LEAVE THEM TO SUFFER? And when the media, the press, and the spineless people that you govern turn their back on you, do you flip flop the other way and do what they want so you can be "popular" among the people?
Or do you do WHAT'S RIGHT. Do you PROTECT YOUR COUNTRY no matter what people say about you? Do you HOLD ONTO YOUR BELIEFS that got you into the office, knowing there's a small percentage of people depending on you to keep the country running as functionally as possible, despite the sad and depressing state that it's in?
No, I don't agree with EVERYTHING Bush has done. But I think he's done a damn good job, has a lot of responsibilities, and handled them better than most people in this ungreatful country would. I am SICK and TIRED of the lack of respect in this country. I'm SICK and TIRED of the negligence and ignorance in this country. But if I'm going to have to stand out in a crowd for what I believe it, then god damnit, I'll do it, and I'll do it with pride.

If either Liberal gets into office, they'll definately try to keep that from happening, none of what they'll try will work. They're too worried about global warming (which ISN'T caused by CO2, and ISN'T something un-natural) to do what would REALLY save the economy.
I don't like Mcaine any more than I like either democratice candidate. I'd still vote for Mitt Romney even if he isn't on the ballot. He was the only good candidate. He could've easily been almost, or just as good as Reagan. Especially with all the current problems that he could solve.
And Bush's only real problem was his sub-par communication skills. He has better morals than either Obama or Hillary most likely ever will.

Whether people like him or not, enough don't that he's going down in history as one of the worst presidents ever. Although I'm sure there are plenty of people (such as icy) who found him a really good president. It's just...in the world of today you can't rule the way bush did. Making blanket statements such as abortion is wrong, simply doesn't go with what the majority views anymore. Whether messing with other countries government is for the best or not, it is against the united nations rules, which means a heck of alot of people are against it.
So yeah, nothing wrong with you liking bush, but unfortunately for every person who likes him, there's 100 who don't. Thems the brakes.

People just don't like how he handled Iraq, and that's only because they're only concern is getting their brothers/sons/daughters/sisters home and out of Iraq. That's all fine and dandy, except for that fact that they don't seem to realise that pulling out ANY amount of troops means that we're just that much closer to another 9/11. That would cause more deaths in one day than the number of deaths in the first year of the war.

The UN is full of pansies that would only look where Saddam would LET them look. That is NO joke. Because of that, the fact that the UN searched for WMD's is VOID. THAT is why Bush didn't listen to them. And, there was evidence left behind that WMD's were once in Iraq. Though you can argue that they could've been frim a long long time ago, that is highky unlikely.

There are many accounts of officials stating that the US would have invaded Iraq with or without WMDs, and it was a matter of when rather than "should we?"
Secondly, the Bush administration knew there weren't any WMDs in Iraq. Rememebr Mr. Powell who fell from grace for purposely lieing to the United Nations on why the US should invade Iraq? He had to resign because he is one of the few people in the Bush administration who realise how wrong they were. His entire credibility was ruined because of Bush ;_;.
He vehemently said there were WMDs in Iraq despite UN inspectors failure to find any.

In reality, they didn't. The USA went to Iraq for oil Icy. Sorry, but it's the hard truth. After the USA overthrew Saddam, the USA wanted to control the Iraqis oil supply. I hardly think that's good intentions...
Plus, if the government really cares about the people, why not do what they ask. "LEAVE US ALONE!". Come on. You can't help someone who doesn't want your help afterall...

The Iraqi's were better off under Saddam's regime. Atleast they were able to get an education, and not have to run into Iran as refugees. Maybe the USA had intentions, but honestly it turned out badly.

The WMD's were there. But because the UN gave them plenty of time and warning, Saddam ahd MORE than enough time to move them out. The fact that when we went in there we found evidence of WMD's proves Bush was right. Though evidence obviously isn't good enough for the UN or anyone else. Unless it's fake evidence about global warming. :D

Not quite so. Yes, it is no doubt one of the most diverse places in the world, but that's only in certain locations in the US. I've lived in NYC all my life, and that is perhaps the shining example of the US' diversity - but go out just a little further out west, and span across the entire midwest basin until you hit California. That's a very homoegenous demographic of the "typical white folk" sometimes called WASP (White Anglo-Saxon Protestant).
It's only in the major cities (NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, etc.) that you see considerable diversity. Beyond those urbanized areas, it is surprisingly non-diverse and even backwards.

It's only in the major cities (NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, etc.) that you see considerable diversity. Beyond those urbanized areas, it is surprisingly non-diverse and even backwards.
I think eugine is talking about the U.S. as a whole, and if you talk about it that way then yes he is right

Everyone, despite having a totally different history works together well.
I honestly can't see another country reaching as far as the USA with this regards.

Civil war much? Klu Klux Klan much?
Though other countries weren't always as tolerant either.
I suppose they're kind of working together good nowadays.

Oh yeah. There's very little discrimination here. You only need to look at the England team, or nearly any Premiership team and you'll see great players like Adebayor being celebrated.
Admittedly though, Adebayor isn't English, but there isn't much discrimination in Britain.

Anyway, honestly, imo, Europe (especially UK and France) has more descrimination than the USA, especially towards Muslims.
Yeah, of course descrimination is everywhere, but Europe just seems a bit unstable, and can't really 'cope' with an increasingly diversed population.
I think the fact that an African American has a shot of taking the top job in the USA shows how long the USA has reached.
But yeah Blue, African Americans do seem to have their own culture. I think their culture is actually unique from every other African x.x

I'd disagree. I see a very diverse country here, to the point where officials will go out of their way to not offend Muslims. I'm not saying discrimination doesn't exist, but it isn't as rampant as it used to be. In my opinion, Britain is very diverse.
