Do You Still Own A Dreamcast? Are Sega about to embarrass themselves... more?

It could be nothing, but they've gotta be asking for a reason right?
It's questionable if this even warrants a topic but it could be that Sega may get back into the console market. The idea seems pretty ridiculous considering how the market is tighter to break into than the top four of the Premiership, but deep down there's a part of me that remembers Christmas Day 2000 when I got my first taste of the console and knew nothing of the bitter disappointment that was to come about 6 months later.
Of course it's all speculation. Maybe Sega are just curious, or perhaps the writing underneath just says 'Why the hell haven't you sold it yet?' Either way, it wouldn't be a smart idea to come back unless they've learnt lessons from the Dreamcast.

Intriguing. Perhaps they're trying to count how many people still actually care. I visited the website for kicks and got this message:

Due the high volume of account requests, the service will be temporally suspended.

I guess a lot of people still own dreamcasts. XD
They're pretty cheap nowadays. I might just get one off of ebay for kicks.

Why don't you buy me one as well while you're there? You know, for kicks. ;)

There shoud be a booth on campus after spring break that sells video games. I think they have a dreamcast for about $85. It includes two controllers, and five games. I think.
Edit: but this is the same booth trying to sell FF VII for the same price.

I still got my dreamcast but it's broken. I'll turn it on, be able to play for awhile, then it resets itself.

My PS2 won't play some games any more. I have to tip it upside down in some cases.

Lol. The magnet thing that moves the lens, which focus's the laser, is probably shot.
You could probably find spare parts on ebay and fix it yourself, but I wouldn't suggest it unless it's an origional PS2, and not the Slim, since the Slim is more expensive.

It happens to pretty much all Playstations, so I'm not particularly worried.

I've just looked back at the article. It's been updated saying that the people registering were actually registering to a foreign company, meaning the whole thing is fake. Looks like they're not doing anything with the Dreamcast.
I guess this can be closed now.
