Ok, this is the only real anime I watch, but I think it is pretty good. Has anyone else ever heard about it, and what do you think?
It is about a mercenary called sagara sousuke. The world is around present day, but the timeline is different - true to the japanese obsession with large robots, Mechs called Arm Slaves dictate much of the military conflicts. The cold war never really ended, and china has been split in two.
The first season tells the story of Sergeant Sousuke and his mission to protect the whispered, a mysterious "breed" of human. If I told you more, I'd spoil it lol. It's worth watching, check it out!
24 episodes first season
~14 episodes second season (memory is fading)
there is a spinoff series called Fumoffa or something, it is more silly than this series. I would recommend you watch it only if you have watched the season one first.

i love Full Metal Panic, not seen the anime but read the manga and the manga spinoff 'Full Metal Panic! Overload!'. Sosuke is hilarious, most of his overreactions are gold XD
