Fear what scares you?

I cannot stand spiders. At all. I'm like Ron Weasley :( If I see one, no matter how small, I freak out. In a major way, too. With the screaming and the flailing of the arms ... T_T;

I used to be scared of spiders, but I'm getting better - or maybe that's just because I haven't seen any recently... o_o

I generally fear dying at an inopportune moment, though. Dying in my twenties.
I also really dislike dots. Seeing a general cobblestone pattern sickens me :(. But in contrast to all the rest that is said, that seems rather petty.

For example, there is a a large open plaza in one part of my university. When the sky is cloudy, I can't even walk across it just because of my phobia. It's not even that I feel at risk being hit by lightning or a tornado descending above me, specifically, it's just this uneasiness I feel when I'm in such a wide open space in such conditions.
That, and failing in my education.

I share GL's phobia of destructive weather. I hate walking through the Wal-mart parking lot during a bad thunderstorm.

I have as much emotion as a rock, I don't fear anything!
Seriously, this one time I was almost hit by a car. In fact, the only reason why I wasn't on the ground writhing in pain was because a low hedge got in the way. And I didn't FEEL anything, I just stared at the car being caught in the hedge.
There's something wrong with me.

Same with when we were doing dissections. I didn't get queasy, but the guys were all poking at the body and do weird things like taking it's eyes out and playing with them and laughing up a storm. Of course they were trying to show they weren't afraid, and they probably thought they weren't. Truth is, the reason they were doing it was because deep down they were queasy so they were overcompensating. So basically if you think you're fearless, you've just got even deeper problems. Or you're superman, one of the two.

I've almost been hit about 4 times this year. They honk, I raise middle finger and keep walking.

Seriously... I am so freaked out by them. Moths scare me the most. The hair or whatever on them, their disgusting eyes... and OMG... I don't even want to think about it... If one of them touches me I literally freak out. Literally I have to go wash off where they touched me because it really bothers me if I don't.
But other bugs do freak me out. Usually not quite to the extent of a moth, but SOMETIMES. Like the other night (This is gross, so don't read on if you don't like things like that.) there was some kind of beatle like bug (June bug? I don't know.) anyways it hit my leg, that kind of bothered me... but not too much... But than for some reason I picked up my leg and when I put my foot back down I felt something under it... It was that bug... and it's insides were literally all over the place. Not all over my foot (Thankfully... I would have... well I don't know... it wouldn't have been pretty.) I felt like throwing up... and to say the least I freaked out... Even the thought of my foot touching it or what's inside of it made me shiver and was like having a spasm. o_O
I could not control myself... and I rushed to the shower and would not calm down until I knew my foot was clean.
XD
There's you a real fear. I have no clue what could have happened to make me so scared of them. o_O

I figured a way to solve it though, if I don't get into vet school I either
A: kill myself (lulzactuallynotkidding)
B: abandon life and become a hobo
C: Teach.
In that order of preference.

Trade "vet" with "med" and "ib"* with "A2" then you're me. :P
*"U-WERE-FSCKIN-CRAZY-2-TAKE-SUCH-A-DIPSH!T-HARD-EXAM!!11!!" was my first thought when I saw you took IB. Eww. Well y'know what they say about IB kids; smart enough to get in, stupid enough to stay in ;P.

If it's math or science though, it's a piece of cake.
....just as long as they're not essay questions....*shudder*
Anyway, I don't want to fail at life, but I have other priorities. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if something bad happened to someone I knew, and there was something I could've done to prevent it.
I'd still feel horrible even if there wasn't anything that I could do.
Basically, I have a fear of not being useful.

I also fear that I'll always be fickle; it's been causing me so many problems, especially in relationships, yet there's nothing I can do except sit back and apologize for my indecisiveness. I'm afraid that it'll drive away everyone close to me...
