All right, so I had to make a server for a class I'm taking (it wasn't really an assignment, it's just that we needed a server to get internet because all we had was WAN), and the school's tech guy person handed me a Fedora install disk and told me to use it, so I did.

I've gotten used to the user interface, but there's a few things that are a little confusing. For instance, I want to install Adobe Flash player, but I don't know which to download. There's three different files for linux users.

But more importantly, though the server is connecting to the internet perfectly fine, I don't know how to pass it on to the other computers through the second ethernet port.

Also, where the heck is the disk manager?

Anyway, it runs faster than XP does, but Firefox is rendering webpages really slowly on this thing.

Though it is using a Pentium III @ 933MHz and has 384MB of SDRAM @ 133MHz.

You should be using your package manager to install the software you need.

That is what Fedora's stance on Flash is. You need to install Flash directly Adobe by downloading the Yum package and following the directions here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Yum

              Sweet, thanks.

The IT guy let me borrow the Fedora 9 & RHEL Bible, so I've mostly set up a DHCP server. I've got the configuration file made and in the right place, I've got both ethernet cards properly configured and active, yet for some reason, I can't get the DHCP Daemon to start. And I already installed it's yum package. The dhcpd service is there, but SELinux kept getting mad about it, so I disabled it. And then it still wouldn't activate.

              Any suggestions?
