I'm gonna upgrade as I go along.

D'you think I'm getting a decent deal? Oh, they also charge $50.00 for assembly (I'm lazy) but I could probably get someone to do it for cheaper. NEWAIZ, yeah. Thoughts?

If you're going to go with a micro ATX AMD boad, this one is a better choice in my opinion.

Though it's $20 CAD more if you want it from the same site.

Foxconn is generally a really good brand. This particular model is the highest rated AMD board on Newegg. However, it's also a bit more expensive. But if there's two things in a computer you don't wan't to cheap out in, it's the motherboard and power supply.

However, the motherboard you picked has a rating of 4/5 with 90 reviews on Newegg, so it should be fine. Plus, NCIX has it for $5 CAD less than Newegg. Though the AMD 780G chipset on the Foxconn will definately outperform the Nvidia GeForce 6100 NB/430 SB chipset on the Asus board.

As for the hard drive, they're asking about $10 CAD too much for it. Newegg has it for $69.99 USD (about $80 CAD).

Seagate is a topnotch brand aswell, and that drive is worth every penny. Should perform on par with the WD Raptor as well.

For the graphics card, you still can't go wrong with an 8800GT. But the card you picked should do fine too. It's about the same price on both sited.

The price looks good on the RAM, and Corsair is a good brand.

But you'll be over-paying for the processor. Newegg has it for the equivilant of $68.50 CAD.

Your choice of parts is pretty good, but I'd probably go with a cheaper case and a better power supply. If the one that comes with your case fails, or is built poorly, it could fry your system.

Though if it were me, I'd be going with an Intel system based on the P45 chipset.

NCIX claims to match opponent prices, so here goes nothing. As for switching up some parts, they were mainly the best I could do for my budget. And I'll rethink the case/power supply.

        Thanks, btw.

Raidmax's Smilodon case is pretty nice, but I don't like how they dealt with the fans. The fans are pretty loud (planning on replacing the two 80mm's in mine), and since they connect to the PSU rather than the motherboard, the wiring in the case is a little cluttered. However, it's built really well for it's price range.

There the green and black version there, or the Blue Silver and Black version I have. The modular cables on the bundled PSU is a nice touch as well.

Thermaltake makes a good and fairly inexpensive PSU, and for your setup, you shouldn't need more than (contrary to popular belief) 300 Watts.

This is a popular case made by Cooler Master that comes in a variety of colors, but it doesn't have a clear side panel, if that was something you wanted.

From my point of view, the Smilodon is your best option as far as a case/power supply combo goes. I haven't had any problems with my PSU at all, the build quality of the case is great, and it doesn't look half bad either. My only gripe is how loud the two 80mm fans are on the side of the case. Plus, after the rebate, it's only about $75 USD (about $85.65 CAD). That's a better deal than you'll get buying the case and PSU seperately most of the time.

Okay. As of right now, I'm sticking with my current case. That may change may change after my next pay cheque (same goes for power supply) but for now it's going to stick.

And I'm emailing NCIX about the lower prices at newegg as we speak.

Okay, I ordered today. Thanks to you, I got a few discounts from pricematching with Newegg. I also bought a different case (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku...nufacture=ANTEC on sale for $100) the dude at the store said it had a more reliable power supply. I'm still bummed about not getting the case I wanted though. :\ Oh well.

Antec is a good brand. It may not look fancy, but it's good quality none the less.

Yeah, the PC is great. My only problem is MSN isn't working properly.

"Signing into Windows Live Messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable."

Only happens with my email, not anyone elses.
