I finally found a way to keep out the spambots, and it appears to have been successful over the past 24 hours. As a result, we've lifted the queue for new members, and things should be returning to normal now.
I'm also taking this opportunity to recalculate post counts, so many/most of you will notice your post count decrease. This is a result of posts in thread that have been deleted, outright deleted posts, or other counting errors that accrue over time.

I know Split, that's why I only posted when I did. We had accidentally left guest posting on in the Tech forum, but that's been rectified. Please alert me if you notice any further spam posts, as we intend to be more diligent and timely in solving the problem in the future.
