Gonna buy a PS3 soon because my 360 has ****ed itself over once again; what games would you recommend? Already looking into LBP, Killzone 2 and MGS4 but apart from that, nothing really comes to mind. I'm not looking for sports games, but anything else really that is any good would be great.

Ah yes I remember playing the R&C games on my mates old PS2 and they were pretty fun...also thinking of getting God of War III when it's out but I've not looked into that. But I could also extend my rental service into the PS3 games so a few lesser titles that I probably wouldn't buy I could rent too (Uncharted, Heavenly Sword)

God Of War 3 and FF13 Versus for sure when they drop. Uncharted is buy worthy, and HS would be if it wasn`t so damn short.

I was gonna say to get Uncharted, but it is bit of a one-play wonder. It is really fun though, if a little unoriginal (Tomb Raider with Gears cover system)
Yeah, rent Heavenly Sword. It's sort of like the Portal of beat-em-ups.

Resistance is definitely a good FPS if you're wanting to try something new. I had a blast when i picked it up at my buddies house. I got so hooked that we almost beat the game in 2 days. Then i totally forgot about it...lolz. Regardless, a very bad*** game with a very bad*** concept.

Killzone is in fact greater than Resistance. I have played both a little but don't actually own either. Killzone just had a better feel to it.

Resistance = generic, and though an amazing shooter if one were new to the genre, brings nothing different to the table.
Killzone 2 = Top 5 shooters of all time.

The Killzone online looks so awesome. The classes are pretty basic, but I see it as a more tactical Team Fortress 2. I cant wait to get my hands on it.

It`s a more tactical FPS in general. You can not twitch kill the entire game, and you can not run headlong into 20 Helghan and expect to live. Oh, and the ``underwater`` physics take a bit to get used to, but even then it seems natural and better.

Well for one, I don't have a PS3. Two, I wouldn't really wouldn't call it discussion. More like bashing shovelware.
