I lost all of my save game data. In everything. Like Borderlands. My level 49 Siren. EVERYTHING. Because of a FUCKING POWER SURGE.

Nos, this is why my computers are plugged into a power strip (with surge protection/etc.), and then into a UPS as well (which also has surge protection/etc.).

Don't tell me you had your 360 plugged directly into the wall......
