A bird carrying a baguette (which quite possibly could be from the future), dropped it's breakfast while flying over a power site on the French side of the LHC.

The resulting Baguette-power transformer collision unfortunately failed to create a higs boson.

It did, however, manage to shut down power to one of the cooling units for the LHC, nearly causing it to overheat. Again.

What happened last time it nearly overheated? A humming bird with a coconut? :< This is why you never use your LHC while its exposed, folks. Always have protection.

Last time, a copper interconnect providing power to a magnet or something vaporized, causing a severe helium leak. It was considered a catastrophic failure, compared to this "minor nuisance".

Will it have any impact on the CERN schedule?
There will be no impact on CERN schedule - full recovery has already taken place. It's similar to a power cut – procedures are in place to deal with this sort of thing.

          No worries then.
My question is how a bird managed to carry a baguette anyway.

It was actually a korean trained sabotage bird?

edit: Never mind, I'm sure it was that pidgeon Dick Dastardly was always trying to catch with "Catch that pidgeon now!"
