There's already a general topic for the whole shining series, but this one is just for the new game shinning soul II. I got this game on my birthday a couple of days ago and already played for about 5 hours. It is a good game, with a very good battle system (Zelda Style). The graphics are a bit odd. The terrains and feild maps are really well done, very good looking and relaistic, but the sprites are cartoony and anime style, it works well though. My only gripes with this game are:

    Can't Pause ever
Every time you save you have to go through a long message
When you die (very often) you are taken mack to the castle and have to go back to the dungeon where you were (takes about a minute each time which gets very tedious)

But apart from that, it is a very good, in-depth game. You can choose from 8 characters who all have their own special abilities and styles etc. Very playable, I like it.

You thought so? Well I guess there are a lot of titles out there that are better, but that was the best one they had for GBA in EB's, so thats what I got. I quite like it though, it grows on you.

Hmm. I can't say I actually like SS, like Neo said, I tried it freely and didn't enjoy it much.

Shining soul 2 is good, but even when you pause, the enemies attack you. Why is that? Nevertheless, it is a good game.

Well I guess. In real life, you can't pause the whole world just to get something out of your bag can you? I think it's so it makes the game a tad more realistic, annoying, but realistic.
