I have bought the Official Players guide, which covers the two games. Just because I like the Golden Sun games (trilogy???), not because I was stuck or something. What do you think of this guide? It's not fully complete, because it misses some armor and weapons in the armor and weapon sections. Also, the Crossbone Isle Cave isn't explained in the guide. Give me your opinion!

I nulled my vote because I didn't buy one, but I don't hate strategy guides, I like 'em! I just didn't need a strategy guide to beat this game.

^Precisely what Wind Dude said. But from what I've seen and heard about these Prima Strategy Guides, they are actually quite reliable.

It's decent. If you're going away on a trip or don't have constant access to the internet, than it's a must buy.

I feel the Gamefaqs (or GSS) is much better. You may not have all the visuals, but you have RNG guides and actual stats for everything. You can just press Ctrl+F and you can find what you need in seconds.

As I said above, if you can't access the net all the time, get the guide. If you can, then you may not need the guide as much.

I just print off what I thought was the best guide on Gamefaqs for long trips.

(In size 7 font, extended margins, light ink, and the useless information cut out. Then I hide it from my parents, they are ink conservative, shame on me.)

However, all guides have their errors, and prefer not to pay for a fifteen dollar bundle of typo filled paper, but that's just my opinion...

Like I said, there are a few wrongs in the game. Some weapons and armor aren't mentioned in the guide, and some little things are put away. I bought this guide when I finished Golden Sun 9 times, and The Lost Age 2 times. I found some secrets with that guide, and i thought: Really good guide, nothing is wrong with it. But after a few days I found out that there were a few wrongs. It's a pity of course. I think you should finish a game without a guide the first time, and if you play the game again, then you can use a guide. But that's only my opinion. I paid 20 Euros (currency in The Netherlands, were I live) for this guide, that's about 20 dollars in America. I think it's not a waste of money.

The only reason that I bought it was to find all the djinn. Otherwise, it could have been better; include Crossbone Isle, and for chrissake', stop having Karst and Sheba on every page!

If it's by prima then it it must be good, I have the link to the past gyuide and it's very very in depth and covers all aspect of the game.

I bought it By the Replay Gamestore, my local gamestore in Holland. I think you must seek it by the specialized gamestores.

I think you're right about this. It has some nice pictures on every page, but Sheba and Karst are on very much pages.

I haven't seen much of the guide but it's made by Prima so it instantly got a terrible guide vote from me. Prima cannot make guides, Piggyback should have made it instead.

I was just very dissapointed that they didn't include Crossbone Isle. But now I just use the guide to experiment with new character classes.

Even Brady games make better guides than Prima, it doesn't even tell you about crossbone isle, that means it can't tell you about all the djinn, armor, weapons and accessories

Yeah I think so too. It's very weird that they didn't put in the Crossbone Isle section. I think many people are going to be disappointed with it.

Well, I don't think it's weird because there are enough wrongs in the guide to dislike it. I have voted: Good, but could have been better. I think it's a quite good guide, though. But I think the game deserves a better guide.
