If you do the beginning (or all of) the Mercury Lighthouse before you go to fight Tret, you have an additional party member (and the Hermes' Water already, saving you a trip). Also, when you first walk into the forest or Kolima, the cutscene now has Mia there so she will give additional insight about the Psynergy topic.

well yeah i knew that, but what i do is get mia, then leave, defeat tret, then go to murcury lighthouse stronger kill saturos, and then get hermes of water and then i am goingeast anyway, so i give it to tret and then everything is fine.

yeah but then its harder to defeat saturos, and i don't like to waste my time going back in forth, but im playing it again and ivan got downed so i'm going to have to go to imil to revive him, so i guess i'll do that instead...but yeah i knew that anyways

i always went to get mia before going to fight evil trent, and i level up so i beat saturos, neva lost to any boss, so i am happy, lol :P

I usually don't go to Imil until after I defeat Tret. Yes, it makes my task harder, but this way I don't have to level up for so long in order to match Mia's level when I get to the Mercury Lighthouse.
