Just make Mia your healer and make everyone else unleash and summon Djinn. Don't try to Boost your Stats it's Useless. He knows break.

PLus you have to be atleast level 27 or 30 because then you can be able to not have Ivan killed every time first round thats what happened to me one time when I was level 25!

Deadbeard is hard, but I beat him when I was 26....

Use Isaac for djiin unleash/summon
Use garet for djinn unleash/summon
Use ivan for djinn unleash/summon
Use Mia for Wish Well (Pure Wish :) ) EVERY time

When someone downs use Isaac to revive him and it's important to have every Djinn you can (Djinn are your friends everytime!)

Ivan is very important for djinning causeh is usmmon Thor is devasating....
Wish well is when Mia gets 2 water djinni or more equipped on her...

Rember to ALWAYS do your Djinn to the corresponding Adept

And at a high enough level (at least in the low twenties) and with four djinn set, Mia will have Wish Well.

Just basically use your corresponding Djinn with each character: note that all Earth Psynergy and Summons are very effective against Deadbeard: the Summon
Venus should do 200+ Damage, and you can probably get over a thousand with Judgement. Follow through with Ragnarok or Gaia...

Mia should use Wish (Well) every turn (or every other turn if you're daring). Ivan and Garet should simply Summon, use Psynergy, etc.

Yes that is basically my strategy too Gl and others who agree with him,although I am the "daring" type,Mia heals everyother turn

I beat him at level 24 using the djinn Unleash/Summon Stratigy. And one healer

if you're really desperate, use the granite/flash technique:

Turn 1:

Isaac unleashes Granite
Garet does Whatever. he attacks or uses psynergy, I guess
Ivan unleashes a Djinni
Mia does whatever/attacks

Turn 2:

Isaac sets Granite
Garet uses Flash
Ivan keeps unleashing
Mia heals if the party is injured, otherwise attacks

from then on, you just unleash either Flash or Granite, and set them the next turn, alternating so you are protected at all times. Ivan can then unleash/summon, and Mia can heal when needed (which won't be that often, as you'll get about 20-40 damage each turn at the most.

this technique is very boring, and takes a really long time, as only one of your characters (Ivan) is free. however, it rarely ever fails, and is a good strategy when all else fails.

EDIT: by the way, this is NOT how I beat him.

Have you ever tried just using Flash? He/she is incredible! But I feel bad for the bosses, I know how irritating Flash is after the Star Magician's guardian balls.

All i did was put mia as a healer and made her use no djinn and had ivan cast support psynergy and issac and garet attack easy really..

Ok i just beat deadbeard(for like the 7th time) and this was just a joke. I was ay level 25 and i just got to Crossbone Isle i beat the random monsters and went start to deadbeard just as a joke and I beat him pretty easily he was only able to kill garet and ivan once and that was it.
