I admit I love the Viewtiful Joe game. It's slick, innovative, and pretty much addicting. Of course I've shyed away from it after one part, but I surely will pick it up again one day. I created this topic in honor to the pink-caped hero and his viewtiful powers (Slow-Mo, Mach Speed, Zoom-In). Oh, and remember this; viewtiful means beautiful view! :lol:

Its an ok game, the sequel comes out soon, but he wears pinkish red skintight clothes. Thats the one reason I dislike it. Oh, and the replay value sucks. Play it once, there is very litttle that is new in the next time around.

Viewtiful Joe was also nominated for Game Of The Year at GPhoria 2004, but it was dead second from Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic. =/

It's a game by Capcom. The first on is on the GCN, but the second will be on GCN and PS2. It's about a guy who goes to the movies with his grilfriend, but gets sucked into the film! So he becomes the movie's (and the game's) hero. You'll have to consult Silo for the rest of the details...

Okay ladies and gents. After many months of trying to get some spare cash together, I have finally done it. So now I have enough money to buy the two games I've been wanting to buy but not having enough to afford. One of these is Viewtiful Joe, I'm loving this game. It's so simple, so basic yet so satisfying. You just have 3 powers, but those 3 powers allow for so many attacks and puzzle-solving that it's surprising. Why are there only 5 replies to one of the ***cubes best games?

Probably 'cause, in their opinion--not mine--the game sucks, and it's too weird to them. With the addition that the main character wears bright red tights and a pink cape.

I love this game. Though it's not much to say that I play it very often anymore.

I bought it a few months ago and I thought it's pretty good. I like the whole slowing down time and speeding it up to effect fights. I haven't bought the sequel though.

I thought 1 was alright, it was pretty original and that's kinda hard these days.... but it did bore very quickly sadly..

Yes there is a sequal, but I won't buy that until I've completed the one I've got. I'm glad I bought this game though, it really made my day. I also like how some enemy attacks don't leave a skull marker so sometimes you need to keep on your toes to avoid getting hit. I can't wait for Okami since the graphical styles is alot like VJ's and that can only be a good thing. :lol:

I can't believe there's not already a topic for this, NP's been raving about this game for years. Too bad it sucks. It's too bland and it tries too hard to be funny.

It sucks? It doesn't try to be funny by the way, it's trying to give you the feeling of a cheesy comic book storyline. That's why it has cheesy jokes, just so you know. As for the bland comment, it's meant to feel alot like a comic book, once again. That's an interesting opinion to have on one of the only decent Gamecube games of the year. If it wasn't for RE4, VJ & Metroid I'd sell this console in no time. Maybe you should focus on the gameplay before looking at how good the jokes are on games, some games don't actually try and be funny.

What the hell does QFT mean? Kids and their abreviations of everything. I wish you would all just GUAGAL! But like he said, the gameplay is the point of the game, the storyline isn't supposed to be the focus. This isn't a godamn RPG, it's an action game, emphasis on ACTION, lots of cool action.

Apparently there is a new Viewtiful Joe on Gamecube but the review I saw said it was pretty bad.

There's also one coming to the PSP but it looks like a lamer version of SSBM.

Congrats, this game is going to be whored all over the place. The only decent one is the original though, the SSBM style ones aren't as fun since they don't involve the puzzle aspect of the original game. The puzzles in the original were so simple yet so fascinating, you could tell how to solve the puzzle straight away but you still said to yourself "Haha, that's sneaky!".

I would love it if they re-made the original or the sequal for the PSP, until then I'm enjoying LCS.
