What You Hate About Gssf

So this is the topic to post what you hate about Golden Sun Syndicate Forums, what needs changing etc.
Here's my thoughts.
1. I hate the newbish topics people make, usually topics now are just newer versions of old topics.
2. I hate the SPAM Forum now, I used to like it but now it has just been totally useless, atleast when posting SPAM post sensibe SPAM not no repeated SPAM always, every SPAM is now some misleading topic then the creator just post some nonsence.
3. I prefered the Forum when there were Fewer members, I'm not saying the new members aren't nice, but before I actually used to enjoy posting now, it's less fun.

One thing I hate is when people take a very negative attitude to new members instead of trying to help them at all. I know that n00bs irritate us all, but sometimes you have to tolerate the n00bness and go on. Note that I'm not talking about n00bs that keep on spamming after being warned by authority- those n00bs should be banned and sent off to some random wannabe invisionfree GS forums ASAP.
Item Two of the hateness: When I post and people can't tell that I'm kidding.

Now, if you mean people can't figure it out after that...yeah, that's pretty sad.
Agreed on #1 as well. There's newbs and then there's n00bs. The prior is the member that turns into a well liked person. The latter is a spammer, who's hated and is on the chopping block from day one. People need to figure out there's a difference.

I admit I have probably taken advantage of the spam forum WAY too much. But honestly I really found some of the senior members to be downright annoying. Maybe it's because they've had to deal with alot of newbies, or maybe its because they're under alot of pressure. Whatever the case, I feel that gssf is having trouble getting along.

Title: "Hey, you gotta look here!"
and then when you look, the user just says, ha ha fooled you!
Very lame...
I did it once, about 3 months ago, now there are too man.y And all the n00bs hang out there, which means there is no worthy conversation. Only spam topics I bother to go to are "check this out!" (made by me), and the advertising topic.
~~n00bs: NOT NEWBS!!! They are 2 VERY differeent things, if you don't know the difference, you a n00b, lol. n00bs, as they make stupid and duplicate topics, spam, sometimes even flame, take everything either too serious, or nowhere serious enough. Gets very frustrating.
~~GS Boards: I never go to them anymore, as I have no interest in GS anymore. Not really a hate, but I just don't like them. Can't wait for IPB 2.0 becuase you can hide forums you don't like. (apparantly).
~~How big the forums is: It was the best when there was about 5000 posts, about 70 members (10 or 15 active regulars). It was less busy, more fun, but still serious topics. And there we no n00bs in site. Paradise.
~~Izar
Thats about it reall, apart from that it's ok.

These are good ones, and I'd also like it if people would just stop complaining, we've heard it before, we know how you feel, so just stop. (even though I'm complaining right now too O o)

Ooo good point kate, Wind Dude it was just something I noticed but it probably due to the decline of the community or whatever. Not only that, it is also a chance for newbies such as myself to see what we should or should not do and then otherwise branded as a nOOb. Thats why I went on it, to check it out.

Everyone just says they hate the whole n00b/newb mix up, how n00bs/newbs are treated, etc.
If you have real complaints to make that regard something a staff member can change, PM one.
This is just a topic regarding behavior of the forums, and Sheba already has one pinned.

Anyways, I don't really have a complaint, exept the member relations, that and the skin is getting a little old, but Max is working on more, so... I guess no real complaints.

Agaito, you were one of the people who called a newb a n00b.
And would you STFU about Izar now? If you hate him, fine, but the complaint you always seem to have is how he's always warning you or something. How about trying not to state stuff like that? Then he won't actually do anything, and you won't have to interact. He isn't the one who always starts things too ya know.

Dislike: its not a big problem but when people post right at the same time as you and they answer the queston before you that gets annoying.
Then you got to change or edit your post but its not a big problem and its not really GSSF fault.

That is something you can't really stop. Not everyone will like this person or that person and people will fight beacuse thats the first thing that comes up in there minds. Its human nature but you can always dim it down and control yourself not to always speak out when you find something is wrong or you get angry at something or someone. This has been a Echo_djinn statement.

I'd assume they'd make duplicate versions of older threads since they weren't here when the older thread was erected, thus unwary of it's former existence. If they do know it was posted earlier, then perhaps there is need to kick them in the ass.

I don't expect a forum named "SPAM" to hold intellectual or entertaining conversations, so meh. Not much of a disappointment to me.

Gaining new members is inevitable when you present a forum to the public. Usually you want people to take notice.
I think you have your expectations too high. A lot of your complaints are inevitable and people with a lick of common sense expect these problems, so the only way it can get "better" is if we mass genocide the people you dislike from this forum.

Yup, I'ved stopped for what, 3, almost 4 weeks from replying with a bad note.
Another bad thing... the posting of irrelevent to the topic. If it's not a post related to the topic, don't post it. It's very disturbing when some one posts something small like "Oh thanks" or "that's cool."

Oh-ho-ho I absolutely despise that -_-
It's done by new members specially. It kind of gives you the need to tell them to follow rules and stay on topic, but then, you keep on scrolling down and down and then, half of the topic (or even more) is just their nonsense posts that don't have ANYTHING to do with the topic.
And then I just leave the topic because it got boring with this nonsense -_-
I believe it's mostly people that want a higher post count and sometimes just plain spam to get it.
[EDIT] It's like watching an interesting discussion or having an interesting discussion with a person and then a random member just pops up, states his views and then another one pops up and starts having a convo with the other member in mid topic.
And by a convo, I DO mean convo as in:
Harr harr: Yeah and so, pandas are getting extinct which is quite a loss
Harrdity harr: The poor things, they are so cute. I hope genetics advance and we can get more pandas or something before they're totally gone...
Person #!: Yeah, I don't like that
Person#2: yeah, I agree
Perosn #1: Yeah, lol
Person #2: o.o?
Person #1: Nah, was just laughing
Person#2: oh ok, lol then.

-Nothing is being done to revive this place, yet, I don't think anything will help.

-Max doesn't post alot like a member does.
