We are in the process of finalizing the main menu interface for GSW, so we thought we would post a screenshot for you all. The screenshot below is a look at the login panel of the main menu.

Additional updates will be coming by the end of the week.

Oh wow! :( Those buttons to the right of the screen look really cool! And the Wind Djinni to the top right of the screen, does it change depending on which character you are or is it always a Wind Djinni?

Yes, Jaïn created the artwork for this screenshot, and in fact all the interfaces and in-game menus.

About the Jupiter Djinni rotating: I don't think we ever thought about that, so I'll bring it up next time we have a team meeting (tomorrow).

Hmmm... is that screenshot relative to the size of the actual screen? How big will that [the screen] be?

If it involves any flash, it probably resizes itself to fit your browser.

That is the actual size of the screen, although you have the option (though strongly discouraged) to maximize it to fit your screen. Although Flash will scale it when you maximize it or change the window's size, everything loses its quality and clearness.

wow, very awsome. I love the border off to the left, very nicely done. This is looking awsome :).
The only thing I would change is the little block things that say login, register etc. They look a bit... washed out. They need a bit more colour so they stand out a bit more.

oh, and the djinn needs something with it :\. It needs some sort of design thing with it to even out the flatness. That corner just looks a little lost.
Don't everyone get angry me, i'm just offering some helpful critisism.

I still love it though. The brown background and the login panel with the stylish border is really cool. Jain, you are an awsome designer, keep up the good work .

To give you a clear answer, the screen default dimensions are 800 x 600. We recommend keeping them that way in order to preserve image quality.

Thanks for the compliments and ideas, we'll take them into consideration.

                                  Take care,

Nice pic, but 600x800... thats the ***est screen resolution in the world, Its too small, I'll stick to fullscreen then.

Is the game a flash file?

ROF, it's 800x600, and that's because the golden sun graphics aren't designed to be used at high resolutions, and also there are still a good number of users who use 800x600 as their monitor resolution. Also, if you make it fullscreen then you will essentially be destroying our work because it will stretch and not look as it should.

Also, it is an executable file (.exe), not a normal Flash .swf file.

I probably said that the wrong way anyway, but I meant from your computer it launches into a "popup", so that it doesn't have to be distorted on a 1024x678 resolution or higher.

Yeah, it will launch in its own 800x600 window, you don't have to manually change stuff around.

I think it should be smaller actually. GSW should be designed as the sort of thing you have running while doing other things, sortof like an IM program. That way people will be motivated to take part in GSW and it won't get in the way of anything else they're doing on the computer. If it's almost the size of the screen, you have to minimise it to do anything. if it's smaller, you can still see what's happening in windows under it. Like, you can read webpages while talking in GSW, etc.

I guess you could just shrink the window, but that would destroy it more than maming it larger... :\

But then, I don't really know what it's like. I'l wait till I try it on Tuesday, then revise what I just said here.

I have to rectify a statement I said earlier: It turns out that you wont be able to change the size of the game at all. You can maximize the window, but the actual game box inside of it will stay the same regardless of the size of the actual window.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that you can now maximize the GSW window but the game screen inside won't change sizes.
