Please read the site before posting questions.... I'm getting tired of repeating myself.
No, this is not an RPG at all. It is an online multiplayer village where Golden Sun fans can meet and interact.

Max is right. Although certain elements are indeed fundamentally the same, this can't really be categorized in your traditional RPG category. I don't have a clear answer for you, but think of this more as an adventure game.
Take care,

Learn not to care, it's much easier and less stressful.
I think its fine for experianced users to be worng, but newbies should get some credit and posts before they ask stupid questions.
Maybe there will be battling in GSW, but not at the moment.

An mmorpg is a mass multiplayer online role playing game. THINK BEFORE YOU POST. If this was an mmorpg, there would be a MUCH bigger commotion.

he's only the 7th person to ask the same question >_<.
No, this is not a mmorpg. This and your traditional mmorpg are fundamentally different. This 'game' is more like a virtual community thing, with extras thrown in. A mmorpg involves a large map with towns, areas, battles etc. There are no battles in GSW, and the typical RPG gameplay doesn't exist. no leveling up, questing, etc. Questing was an idea that was thrown around a bit a few weeks ago, but I don't know what happened with it. But the battleing, leveling up, dungeons and all that stuff aren't in it.
Please look at the website and have a quick browse of the forum before you ask any questions, chances are it's already been answered.

Quite true. Consider gsw a virtual forum with all the bells and whistles.
