Anyonre here gonna get BK when it comes out over here in NA? I wanna, Namco RPGs tend to be good. Mind you I've only played ToS, so I might be wrong.
The battle ssystem is card based, so it'd be something new.
And the people have wings! PEOPLE WITH WINGS ARE COOL. B)

The story of Baten Kaitos begins with the main character, Kalas, waking up in a village after having been rescued during his long journey to avenge his family's death. There, he meets up with the heroine of the game, Xelha, and gets caught up in an incident that may change the fate of the world. What's unique about Baten Kaitos' setting is that the people in this world all have wings, and they live on floating continents rather than directly on Earth. The setting is also nicely complemented by subtle cloud effects. We expect that you'll discover why humankind isn't living on the ground and that you'll find the answers to other mysteries, such as why Kalas is missing a wing, as you progress through the game.

It's basically your save the world from some evil guy rebelling against the empire again, I think anyways. You might wanna check the trailer, I think it'll be a bit more thorough, lol.

Actually the battle system isnt card based. The thing is they made the items turn into cards so that it seems more realistic. EX. your not gonna fit 2 swords 3 shields and a cuople heling items in ur pockets right? so they made it so that when u use a card the item on the card comes out as like lets say a full sword.

I got my info on it from Nintendo Power.

Well, ya that basically is it, but it`s still card based you know, the battles actually use decks, which are shuffled an such, so it`s still card based, just not like a normal CRPG I think.

It will be an awsome game.
The one thing thing I find curious is how the world map will work, no rrandom encounters, nothin, just go to your destination and that's it.

Anyways, I'm having a hard time gettting my post count up, cause I hate spamming.

Nah, I heard it's very similar to the Chrono Cross world map. You just go to your destination and that's it.
What I'm hoping for is for them to let you explore...

Me neither, lol. Actually, there was this one time.
Basically, there are no battles whatsoever on the world map, it's simply a "Go to your destination quickly" type of map. I also hear that it's not a 3D map, simply sort of flat.

I died 5 times. I used a calculator to see what their HP is.
Ayme-5000
Folon-5500
Giacamo-7000

I have a little advice in what I did. (But I was at level 45 back then). Try in attacking Folon first with Wind attacks. (._. If you have Whispering Wind from Xelha, it would be a big big big help). Ayme isn't as powerful though, so dont mind her yet. (Hit Ayme with Chrono Attacks and Giacamo with Water XD) And of course...LIGHT! XD

And if it doesnt work...um...try again!

First you fight Giacamo alone on the Goldoba.
Then you fight Ayme in Diadem.
Then you fight Folon in the Abandoned Libary in Aunenue.

And after that you fight all three of them on the Goldoba. Are you sure your right in your grammer??? Because your going to have to fight Giacamo, Ayme, and Folon again later in the game.

I beat it a while ago... SO I've been playing MP2:E! SO GOOD!
Anyways, the ending is a bit cheesy. They sorta decide to take all the romantic stuff andjust wack it in right there... The worst is that it's so predictable because of the "subtle" hints during the cutscenes in the the game. I wish they made the ending in CG tho, woould've been so great.

I've got this game a couple of days ago. . .

First I thought it was horrible.

Then I got Gibari, and I realized that I just hate Xelha >_>. It hasn't caught my interest to much (especially while playing MP: Echoes =P), but it's all right.

I'm in Sheliak, where you have to save the king.

An important thing to remeber is that a straight does more damage than simple individual cards put together, even if it uses less cards. This also helps cause it delays shuffling of the deck.
Also, has anybody noticed, cows actually have EARS! o_O" I dound that out today...j/k

I can't beat geldoblame in the fire caverns. He always kills Xhella off on the first turn and then Kalas and Gibari go down fighting. Any sugestions?

X_X you guys! Stop dissing Xelha! She's actually really strong!
In my party, she's actually the strongest character in the party! She does around 4000+ damage. (although the highest can go around 11,000+ if your really good XD)
Trust me, once you get a magnus called "Seal Of Water", "Wheel Of Light", etc. it's really useful XD

o.o; against Geldoblame when in the lava caves...yeah, I got annoyed whenever he kept on going for Xelha.
I used Xelha, Kalas, and Mizuti.

Note: whenever Geldoblame does that instant death attack, always be sure that ALL of your characters have a healing magnus called "Sacred Wine" <it looked like a cup with a leaf on it with a white background>
Whenever one of the characters go down, use the Sacred Wine on the unconsious character and it comes back to life.
Have one healer <but can attack sometimes>, and the other two attack for fun. XD

But if that still doesn't work, level up and get more defensive magnus. o.O I was at level 30 when I was there, so blah. @_@

i'm not dissing Xhella, she gets instant killed first turn, but if she would live through it, geldoblame would be dead. She is the most powerful except kalas.
