Don't turn this into an illegal topic

What's your favourite file share program? Mines Kazaa, due to it's great interface, and heaps of features, second would be WinMX, for the same reasons, except it dosn't have as many features as Kazaa, what about you?

I choose Limewire. It's better since it's not covered with spyware. It just gets to the point and gives you what you want.

So is WinMX. No ads, just search, download. It also has chat (pointless) and bandwidth stats which are sometimes handy.

I prefer Kazaa becuase it's so popular, therefore, more users, more files to choose from, faster searchers, and you pick up where you left off.

I refuse to use any of the listed programs because they are harbingers of virii and other forms of malicious programs and scripts. You can claim that they do not, but any utilitiy that has the built-in capability to search for files in an unfiltered manner is bound to become contaminated with malicious users and files.

As a result, I use the BitTorrent network as my sole source of file trading (legally of course) because for a file to become available the user must 1) download a harmless torrent file for the requesit information, and 2) there must be a minimum number of users who have downloaded the file, approved of it, and seed it so that you can download it. This effectively screens out "fake" files (not getting what you think you are getting), because people will not re-share what they didn't want, and malicious files, because almost everyone would not want to spread these bad files.

Well, Kazaa and WinMX have always worked perfectly for me, and I have no gripes, if they do have these virii, I have never noticed them so, yeah, I like Kazaa.

Kazaa is the best because so many people use it that it's almost impossible not to get the file you want :D. I use WinMX though, because it doesn't have any spyware or adware.

Though "virus" may be from Latin, it's one of the few exceptions to the "i means plural" rule, at least in English. "Virii" as far as the English language goes, is complete nonsense. The proper term is "viruses." Sorry, but I'm really picky about that sort of thing.

Anyhow, KaZaA Lite Ressurection is my favorite. I've yet to find something to complain about, and since I seldom download software off of it, I don't have too much to worry about as far as viruses go. Bit Torrent, though slow, comes in as a close 2nd.

That was quite a huge revive, there. Not to mention with a pointless post. Try not to do this again, alright? -MD

I prefer Shareaza. More people should be using this one. The search results are decent, the download times are amazing, and you can change clients.

I definitely recommend it to anyone who's currently unhappy with the performance of their file share programs.

                              LimeWire for music, definitely.

I haven't had too much success with using Torrent Clients, and I generally dislike using them.
