You have it wrong, Magic was here before Yu-gi-oh, therefore Yu-gi-oh is too much like Magic. ^_^
Magic rocks, forget the other card games which try to better it, Magic is and will always be the best card game ever.
I have a kick arse Red Deck, those direct hit cards are nasty...

It's a joke set...
A new one, Unhinged, is own in UKland on 20 Nov.

 I have absolutely no idea as to what became of mine.....
As to say Yu-Gi-oh and ALL the other ripoffs of magic suck, in my opinion that is.
The new set; Kamigawa is... well meh,(since all rare cards are legends, the new legend rule kills it) The most powefull set I have seen would have to be the Mirodin Block; it's artifacts pwn all.
BTW: all of u need to stop comparign the ripoffs with magic(for real) magic is a lot deeper and more starategic(not to mention fun) then the other ..... stuff.

Nice, Nice, but listen to this:
Say you have Myr Incubator, Megatog with Kusari-Gama equipped, 2x DotV's out and hardly any artifacts in play. You have the Proteus Machine prancing around beleiving he is a Locus, which is good news for two Cloudposts you have out. It's your turn. You use the Incubator to filter out every artifact in your deck, put them in play and you now have (for example) 8 1/1 Myr to play with. Heres the fun. Megatog decides he has a belly ache and decides to have a snack. Those 8 myr are now off to metal heaven while your Megatog is quite satisfied with himself and gets a comforting +24/+24 and trample. But now he's is angry that he's eaten all your artifacts, so he decides to go on a rampage, and since he his favourite toy, the Kusari-Gama (From the Kamigawa set) he decides to not hit one blocker, but every single one. Now, if anything survived that hit, your opponent deserves to win, but of course nothing did, so heres whats next: Remember those two Disciples you had out, and how you sac'd 8 myr? Well they are now prepared to launch there oh so powerful 16 damage blast at your opponent. Bit late, your megatog just cleaned him up... Very fun. Very Do-able
I beleive that this is better. Since 60/60 is a little over the top, in my opinion. Im not saying your combo is bad because it rules, I love it, but I think my combo thingy is better.
#27
Posted 08 November 2004 - 03:05 AM
Another combo which requires a good hand a bit of luck.
TURN 1
Play forest, play elvish pioneer, play mountain
TURN 2
Play Mountain, Play Dragon Speaker Shaman
TURN 3
Play Mountain, Play Shivan or Two-Headed Dragon
FOLLOWING TURNS
Play more dragons and proceed to maim opponent with ones in play.
This combo works as i do it alot especially against the helpless pure green deck of the players i play

Yosei, the Morning Star + Yosei, the Morning Star + Lifeline
Play Yosei. Play a second Yosei. They both look at each other, then die from embaressment that they are wearing the same dress. Oops! Tap 10 things and make someone skip their next untap.
But wait! Lifeline brings them back at end of turn. They look at each other, then die from embaressment that they bought the same shoes. Oops! Tap 10 more things and skip your next next untap.
But wait! Lifeline brings them back at end of the NEXT turn. They look at each other and die again, tapping 10 more and making them skip ANOTHER untap. Repeat every turn for no extra charge.
Reproduced with kind permission of someone I know.
Sure as hell I dont have two yosei's...

My white deck would pwn you. (it has 3 kill everything except lands cards, 3 nasty creatures [akroma included] and some other stuff I forgot)
I stopped playing around Legions.

no offence but my goblin deck would piss all over your deck, so what you've got akroma your dead before you play it, if you do play it i'll finish you off with burn.
Threshold and Beatdown decks would maul it aswel deal, with a small army on turn 4, or blastoderms, lots of blastoderms. As for blue decks they can "borrow" it, bribery is effective enough.
the king of combos is upheavel psychatog.
STEP 1
Have upheavel and psychatog in hand by turn 10
STEP 2
Have 8 lands in play
STEP 3
Counter or bounce or kill any problems
STEP 4
Have 8 lands, DO NOT PLAY ONE THAT TURN, tap up your land adding 8 to mana pool.
STEP 5
use 6 mana on upheavel, LEAVING A SWAMP AND ISLAND in your mana pool.
STEP 6
play a land , tap it, use your mana on playing psychatog, end your turn.
STEP 7
opponent unable to do anything due to lack of land.
STEP 8 discard hand for Psychatog, then remove graveyard, attack with Psychatog, opponent dies and is very angry.
To make this combo completely fool proof, play upheaval when you have nine lands, put three in your mana pool for the tog, play an ISLAND, if your opponent thinks he can save himself with a fog or 1 mana creature to block the tog simply counter it will circular logic's madness cost, and considering they spent their one mana on the spell they can't pay and lose.

Akroma has always worked well for me..but she costs soooomuch mana, it sometimes goes againts some of my strategy for each particular mathc to play her. Thats why i have my dangerous cleric deck (laugh it up) but when you have some blue pathfinders and huge amounts of clerics out with some vile deacons..its major scary damage.
ive done 57 damage in one round using this deck, and I could have gotten way more but i already knew i would wion so I just killed the guy off instead of torturing him.
oh and Ixidor wasnt choosing what she was...it was more like he just saw her and then she was there...its not like he was making a magic card (for example) and puttin down all her stats n stuff..and anyways..if she was immune to all she would be so rare only bill gates would have 1.

Black Clerics are heaps better than white ones. Thats what I think. Speaking of rare cards, who has a Black Lotus? Theres a $3000 AUD and some card.

Akroma IS not difficult to deal with.
Black can just use Chainer's Edict. bye bye.
Red can kill everything
Green will just laugh at or ignore it (Thorn Element with numerous giany growths) or just wing snare
Blue will steal it with bribery or consfiscate and the like
White will use several first strike blockers which are considerabley pumped up.
Artefacts hello Predator Flagship
basing a deck around her is just stupid.
the only deck she goes into is black reanimation

you can't use gllemax to change the target if there's nothing else to deflect.
there are instants that make your graveyard your library aren't there, just discard your large hand.
Gleemax doesn't seem all that useful, it effectievly needs adck built around it, just a fun artefact like Mindslaver.

my threshold deck does not focus on getting to threshold and beating up the opponent with Krosan Beasts, it gets to threshold then slaughters with Werebears, Nimble Mongoose, Seton's Scout and Krosan Beast. The only single cards in it are Laquatus (to get to threshold, then deck opponent) and Kamahl(to break through stalemates). The with my goblin deck it has many ways of winning, burn to death, swarm of goblins, swarm of goblins with coat of arms, goblin goons, shivan dragon/dragon roost (depending on opponent).
as a general rule theme decks are much better than ones based around single cards.

i used to kill people off with sorceries like traumatize which cuts peoples deck in half (when used with Mirari - devastating)
and then it was a process of casting evacuation and returning it to my hand over and over (with inspriations being cast on the enemy library) until they drew out.
