I didnt mean to annoy you....sorry 'bout that ^_^
BTW- I'm serious....I once found a weird blue-and-red flashing object in the night sky. I thought it was a plane, but after 2 hours, I checked again, and it was still there, and looked nothing like a plane!
I wonder what THAT was... o.O

Now that really is strange.
I also heard that in Russia, a strange streaking object was found in the skies, and soon after, some holes appeared in the glass windows of the area of the sight...and some weird ground markings occured...I wonder what that all means...

But yeah, UFO sightings are freaky, but I suspect that next time it happens, scientists could try to collect one of the UFOs and identify it to learn if there are any other places in the universe where Life exists... I imagine how strange I would feel if I was at the scene of the UFO... ^_^

Yeah, I agree that being in a real UFO would be cool, as long as the aliens inside the ship are not acting hostile to us. But, I do think it would be kinda...scary... but then again, scientists could learn important information about the universe like that. o_o

But, don't you think there should be a way to detect UFOs before they reach Earth? I do.

No, there aren't. There's a reason why they're called UFOs: We can't identify them. In addition, most 'supposed' UFO sightings could fall into one of three categories:
1. Earth Phenomena. The Aurora, or, Northern Lights, are prime examples. Due to the odd radiation ring branching out from Earth's magnetic poles and the interactions between the Sun's solar energy/radiation, magnificent colors can appear in the night sky, primarily over the North and South Poles. On occasion, usually during severe solar storms, there are other effects the Sun's energy has on earth. Odd red dots in the sky, like you mentioned, are one possibility. And a note: It would be impossible for you to have seen a supernova. The light would take billions of years to reach Earth, it would've been known of, and if it were a star close to Earth, we'd feel the effects.
2. Eye/Mind Tricks. Sometimes, UFOs are just hallucinations. The kinda stuff that people might report, but don't have video evidence of. This usually results from a sort of physical deprivation. And, just like if you believe in an idea because of influences, your mind might tell you you're seeing something just because you already believe in it.
3. Undocumented gov't projects. The gov't has been doing random tests with flying discs for decades, from what I can recall, but it's a bit speculative. But, there are many many things the gov't never releases to the public, and rather not have the public ever know of, so I'm pretty confident about this.
Now, when it comes to events where there's a shiny object that moves very fast, those are pretty hard to figure out. They could be electrical disturbances, an unknown particle species, or just maybe, aliens. I'm going with unknown species however, because there's a lot about Earth that we still don't know. After all, we only have an estimated half of the species population charted.
There are still those unexplained events. Roswell for one. And there's the "leaked" information from Air Force pilots, yada yada yada. Until someone can get some hard evidence, aliens on Earth will still be a far away dream for a long time.

I13, that was spam. Do not spam. You have been warned (verbally).
I personally do not believe they are aliens. In every book, they talk as if aliens are a superadvanced race. Well, I think that it's more probable that alien life forms are more primitive--or at least as advanced--as us.

Not possible. The solar system is relativley new when it comes to its place in the Universe. There's a good chance that if an alien race is out there, it would be more advanced than ourselves.

I acknowledge the possibility of life elsewhere, but only on a primitive level.
And certainly none of the "flying objects" they travel in, no sir.
